Alberto has been very friendly and helpful from the first contact through writing and later meeting him in person. He is truly a friendly and helpful host. He took his time to share the highlights of the city as well as restaurants we could try. We cancelled a restaurant recommended by the Michelin guide and instead went to Pancaldi; we were not disappointed by the food, which was simple but good. Additionally, Alberto is very professional and we would definitely stay again when in Reggio Emilia. 🤩.

Alberto was a wonderful host and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed having breakfast (especially coffee) delivered to us each morning. The location is superb, right in the center of everything, but that does mean you hear activity in the streets below if you keep the windows open as we did.

Alberto was fabulous! The best host in Italy! The highest rating was a 10, I wish I could give him a 100! He is very efficient and offers excellent advice about the area and what to see. He suggested many excellent restaurants that we thoroughly enjoyed! The apartment was clean, spacious, bright, secure, and about a 20-minute walk to the train that easily gets you to Parma, Modena, and Bologna for day trips. The elevator and breakfast each morning were a delight! This was perfect for exploring this region.

What an amazing place to stay! Alberto was so hospitable and welcoming, but just the right amount. He was there if I had a question and with an amazing breakfast every day but otherwise I had my space to myself which was perfect for me. Location is central and just off the main road through Reggio Emilia. Almost every place I needed to get to was within a 30-minute stroll, but most places were closer, within ten minutes. I was worried it would be hot, but it was not - with the shutters closed but windows open, my room was a lovely cool place to return to on a hot day. There is street noise at night, but bring a white noise machine and you will sleep fine. I was here to visit the Loris Malaguzzi Center, so if you are doing a study week, please consider this place to stay. It was the perfect retreat after getting a LOT of information every day. The property is nicely located in the historic center of Reggio Emilia, about a 10-15 minute walk from the main train station. My room was on the fourth floor, but an elevator is provided. The room was entirely adequate for a single guest. Breakfast was most enjoyable, especially the brioche. Mr. Cantarelli is moderately fluent in English, so it is important to speak slowly. He strives to be very helpful. The price was very reasonable. The only problem that I experienced was with the shower. I had some difficulty with getting the shower water temperature adjusted, but experimentation solved the issue. Guests should be aware that the floor in the shower can be slippery and caution should be used. Finally, I was unable to bend over to wash my legs in the small area. This is a minor complaint.

This is a wonderful place to stay - really near to my favourite piazza (Fontanesi) and in the middle of the old city but quiet and calm (I stayed in April). The room is spacious, comfortable, has plenty of character, and I had everything I needed. I'd definitely stay here again.

This structure has now become my point of reference during my trips to Reggio Emilia. I recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in the city center, as the structure is located just a stone's throw from Via Emilia Santo Stefano. The location is also particularly convenient for UNIMORE students of the Department of Communication and Economics, which can be easily reached on foot in just a few minutes. I must also mention the extreme cleanliness of the B&B and the maximum friendliness and availability of Dr. Cantarelli, a delightful person who is extremely attentive to meeting the needs of guests. To top it all off, a plentiful, varied, and delicious breakfast.

Very cozy and intimate room, truly appreciated, right in the center, easily accessible from the Zucchi parking lot. The breakfast is continental with excellent croissants. The manager (Alberto) was very kind right from the start: he provided us with many suggestions on places to visit and places to eat. Additionally, even though I had booked for two nights, I could not stay the second night (only my friend remained): we did not ask for any reduction - we would have obviously paid the normal price - yet Alberto was super kind and charged us less than expected. Truly excellent experience and highly recommended!

Alberto, the manager, is incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed with him because he is very close to Sala Tricolore where we were invited to our friend's wedding. Alberto even made sure we had an iron and ironing board to touch up our suits that had gotten a bit wrinkled during the trip. The room is like a small independent apartment, complete with everything: double bed, small private bathroom, kitchenette with sink, fridge and stove, TV, table and wardrobe. Being in the center, in high season, with breakfast and all the comforts for the price paid, it's really great value for money.

To enrich everything, the very kind owner who, compatibly with his commitments, does not hesitate for a moment to take the tourists to the station to bring them to Cantarelli B&B. Breakfast included in the price but by our choice we did not use it. Icing on the cake: you pay before leaving, if the customer is satisfied! 10, 10, 10!

An extremely elegant and very clean apartment in the center, just a few minutes from all the destinations. The very kind Mr. Alberto waited for us and drove us back to the station in his car. He also provided us with useful indications, which turned out to be of excellent quality, for us who came to Reggio Emilia for the first time. The breakfast served in the room was punctual, great, and abundant. We will definitely come back if the opportunity arises.
