The property was rather ugly and not well organized; they were kind enough to change the linens, but the building should be renovated and the rather steep stairs should be better lit.

Economical guesthouse about 4 and a half km from the center of Lucca, great for concerts and other events held in the center. Near the property there is a bus stop with a bus every hour that allows you to reach the historic center in 10 minutes. I took the room with a private bathroom, a small but nice and clean room with air conditioning and TV. The bathroom is spacious and recently renovated with a large shower box. We had a very good experience, we needed a room without spending too much and without too many demands, and for this kind of things I would say it's the ideal place. Mr. Luigi, the manager of the property, was also very helpful, making himself available for check-in even in the evening after hours. Recommended to anyone looking for a place near the historic center without spending a fortune and that is nice and perhaps away from the noise of the city itself.

The location unfortunately is the weak point of the structure: it is located at the foot of a rather steep descent at a crossroads with poor visibility and absence of a sidewalk (to cross the road you had to hope for the kindness and understanding of motorists to stop). The bus stop is on the other side of the intersection but, indeed, getting there could be quite dangerous. The room we were assigned was large (double bed + single bed) and clean, but there was no air conditioning (only a somewhat dated fan) and the bathroom (non-windowed) was shared with all the other rooms, however, we did not have major problems in its use and did not have to "quarrel" with others; positive note the soap dispensers, also in the shower. The value for money needs to be contextualized: compared to other more central structures, which had indecently inflated prices during the Lucca Summer Festival days, the price of this structure was decidedly competitive (and very acceptable in a period of high turnout); on the other hand, however, in quieter periods the same price might be a bit too high for the location and type of structure.

We stayed at Affittacamere Il Ponte during the Lucca Comics period. The manager was extremely helpful (he waited for us at check-in so we wouldn't miss a minute of the events). The room is spacious, very clean, and the shared bathroom is spotless. Recommended for groups of friends, with uncovered parking in a private courtyard. Nearby there is also a very good pizzeria.

Friendly and helpful staff but the structure and services offered are not sufficient. Room with a bad smell coming from the bathroom, too hot and with the window open, due to the traffic, it is impossible to sleep. Uncomfortable bed. Convenient location if you have a car. No parking inside the structure but street parking is available.

The structure is certainly suitable for those passing by, like the walkers of the Francigena who stay overnight quickly without too many demands. The rooms overlook a very busy street, so you can only rest with the windows closed. The double room with bathroom is very small, as is the bathroom. Breakfast is not included, neither internally nor with a voucher at a bar. For these reasons, the proposed price of €70 seems excessive to us. The owner's behavior was courteous and helpful in response to our overall dissatisfaction.

Clean and lovely rooms, although with a shared bathroom. Attentive managers, good breakfast with croissants, hot drink of choice, toasted bread with assorted jams, orange juice. Restaurants for dinner are not very far from the structure, and you can reach Porta S. Anna on foot in about an hour, unless the buses are running (the 17 comes every 10 minutes, but not on holidays, alas). Overall it was a very pleasant experience, I sincerely hope to return.
