The inn is located outside the Alta Citi, a good 20 minutes from the funicular station. There is a bus service available but one needs to know the station locations, not an easy task even after searching the internet since most information is in native Italian. The owners who live next door welcomed me and explained the workings of the apartment located down a steep staircase off Via Borgo Canale. The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, well-appointed but be advised it featured two very narrow, separate beds. A modern bathroom with shower, bidet, and quality toiletries. A patio door opens to reveal a dramatic view of lower Bergamo and the surrounding hillsides, patio chairs are available should you want to relax in the back courtyard. The breakfast is delivered to your room at your requested time, freshly baked croissants & Italian crispy bread. The apartment has a Nespresso machine ready for you to make your coffee of choice and a refrigerator stocked with milk, juice, marmalade, and butter to complete the typical European continental breakfast. Checkout time is an early 10:30. So do not expect the intimacy encountered at your typical family operation such as taking meals in a dedicated area with the host nearby. This is a modern take of a B&B, but well done.

This is a cosy little apartment, very quiet with a beautiful view down in the valley. A little more space would be useful. The landlady, whom you meet only in the morning when she brings the goodies for breakfast, makes you feel very much at home. We would have loved to stay longer, but unfortunately the apartment was already booked for the next day.

Beautiful residence on a hill in the center of Bergamo Alta, in a very quiet, panoramic, green location and convenient to restaurants and monuments. Ideal! A very pleasant experience also the breakfast with bakery products and stylish cups. Excellent welcome and availability of the property.
