I had a fantastic stay at Ventisei Scalini A Trastevere. The room was super cool — beautifully decorated with a mix of modern and contemporary styles blended with rustic touches that really reflect the charm and character of Trastevere itself. The space felt clean, spacious, and well cared for, and the staff were friendly, responsive, and genuinely helpful.\n\nThe location is perfect — right in the heart of Trastevere, with easy access to everything, but still tucked away enough to feel relaxed. One thing to note, as others have mentioned, is the staircase. It’s narrow and quite steep, especially if you’re carrying a suitcase up to the higher floors. I was lucky the staff helped carry mine up on arrival, but since I was travelling solo, I had to carefully bring it down myself when checking out. Something to be mindful of if you're travelling alone or with heavy luggage.\n\nOverall though, I’d happily stay here again. The style, comfort, and service make it a great choice for anyone looking to soak in the character of Trastevere.

I stayed 3 nights and had a great time. I love the atmosphere here and thanks for always making the room and shared space clean. The location is also perfect for me and I liked this area. Excellent indeed! Very convenient location in Trastevere, welcoming, punctual and helpful hosts, very clean and comfortable room. Truly a positive experience in every respect and even more so for the value for money. I am very satisfied and will definitely return if I come back to Rome.

Very good location and certainly at a fair price. Unfortunately the property shows its age and has not been renovated at all. The room is very small and difficult to reach with luggage because the staircase is extremely steep and very narrow.

I had a really pleasant stay! The room was nicely furnished, clean, and quiet, yet you are right in the heart of Trastevere, with everything within reach. The breakfast was just as described and perfect for me. The value for money is excellent, and the host was very kind and helpful. I would definitely return! Highly recommended!

Room with a very nice private bathroom, in an accommodation located in a beautiful area, full of places and convenient. Additionally, the staff is friendly and helpful. I really had a great time, recommended!

The structure is very well maintained and clean. The rooms are small, but for tourists, they only serve for sleeping, so they are fine. You are in Trastevere but 30 minutes on foot from St. Peter's and the same from the Altare della Patria; always 30 minutes from the neighborhood station. Many restaurants and pizzerias in the vicinity, one even right next to the structure.

Spending little gets you little. Good location, friendly and helpful staff, clean bathroom. Small and uncomfortable room with no space for a chair. Can accommodate a single bed and not a French one. Industrial breakfast, athlete-proof steps, bad smell at the entrance from the internal warehouse. In the bathroom and kitchen, debris on the ceiling held by a transparent plastic sheet, lack of the additional bed as indicated in the description. Old structure that puts on airs but lacks substance. I wouldn't go back.

Area Trastevere

Trastevere is the most popular district and one of the most characteristic of the city. The people of Trastevere consider themselves the most “authentic” among Romans. The urban and social texture has remained the same throughout the years; entering Trastevere from the Tiberina Island you will notice narrow labyrinth-like streets, ancient buildings, “pittoresque” corners, medieval towers and houses, renaissance cloisters and some of the most beautiful medieval churches of Rome.

Trastevere is a very lively and dynamic Rione of Rome; many artisan shops and art galleries are open until late at night. Romans themselves go to the numerous clubs and restaurants of Trastevere which are suitable for all tastes and pockets. Every Sunday morning, near Viale Trastevere, the famous “Porta – Portese” flee-market takes. If you happen to visit this market remember that bargaining on the price is mandatory!
