Description
The elegant and luxurious B&B Nettuno, one of the most exclusive in Catania, has an enchanting position between the blue sea and sky and Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe.

It is an attic looking onto the most beautiful part of the Ionic coast, where a blue sea hits a neverending, sunny cliff coast and it is exactly located in Ognina, an ancient fishermen area which, at the end of the nineteenth century changed into a first class touristic centre, with big hotels, luxurious restaurants and romantic promenades.

Sicilian breakfast with homemade cakes or, at request, intercontinental breakfast, excursions, typical dinners, guide to restaurants, night life centres and events in the city are provided.

Nettuno B&B also offers its guests a free inside parking area.

Carefully designed both from the stylistic and the functional point of view, with the purpose of making the guest enjoy their stay, the rooms are provided with furniture in a slightly informal style, private air conditioning system, en suite bathroom, tv lcd sat, private safe, sound-proof doors and windows, hairdryer, minibar, wireless internet connection, furnished balcony where to have breakfast or a romantic dinner while admiring a wonderful view of the coast.

Tapestry and curtains by famous designers reveal elegance and modernity; the combination of geometric lines together with light and colour effects, give the rooms a romantic and refined touch.

With my partner we had a great time. Room and bathroom very clean, very comfortable bed and the owner very nice, welcoming and helpful. Only flaw the breakfast, packaged in the room without the possibility of having something different from coffee.

Inside is beautiful and elegant, outside I cannot say the same. However, its location makes it convenient to reach Catania far and wide. The room is spacious, clean, and complete, equipped with a coffee machine and minibar. The strong point is the daily cleaning. The owner is very kind. As for breakfast, we were offered a coffee, but you can request something else by asking the landlady, but we didn't. Also, packaged brioches and biscuits of different types, jams and Nutella in packets, and rusks.

Una prima colazione a base di torte, cornetti, marmellate e quant'altro fatto in casa non può competere con quella industriale anche se, come avrà visto, sono tutti alimenti delle migliori marche. Purtroppo non possiamo più continuare a servirla poiché il regolamento impone la somministrazione di soli cibi e bevande monodose. La rigraziamo per averci scelto. ConoscerLa è stato un vero piacere! Hospitality value is the most important evaluation parameter and in this the Nettuno B&B I believe has few rivals. Kind, cordial, helpful for every customer's need. The location of the structure is good, a 15-minute drive from the airport and much less from the station. Located on the Gulf of Ognina Catania, it is very close to restaurants, pizzerias, and pastry bars of excellent quality, known thanks to the support of the B&B owner. Very convenient parking inside the complex. Do not be fooled by the conditions from the outside of the building because the B&B is renovated and well furnished. The room is comfortable, splendid sea view, minibar, safe, and TV, en-suite bathroom, coffee machine. Abundant and varied breakfast in the room. In conclusion, unbeatable value for money. Highly recommended.

Excellent structure located on the seafront of Catania. Friendly and caring staff. Room and bathroom of adequate size. Almost maniacal cleanliness. Internal parking. If a criticism must be made, it is that in the already abundant breakfast, the salty option is missing.

La serviamo ma su richiesta perchè preferiamo offrire sempre prodotti freschi di salumeria e di eccellente qualità ( provola ragusana, prosciutto cotto, prosciutto crudo, salame, speck, pomodorini, rucola, uova etc) .Ovviamente non è inclusa nella tariffa, già competitiva di suo. We stayed three days in August at this beautiful Nettuno B&B ***, the rooms are very nice and clean and the bathroom perfect as well as the breakfast. The location is strategic because on foot you can reach the promenade with restaurants, bars and shops, as well as the beaches of Catania including the very suggestive black one of San Giovanni Li Cuti, and in 20 minutes by car you can easily reach Acireale, Acicastello and Taormina. For us, however, the real added value is the presence of the owner, Mrs. Lucia, a wonderful kind and sunny person who made our stay even more pleasant. She can also recommend the best places to eat and what to see, in short, we missed her as soon as we left... we can't wait to come back to her as soon as possible! A hug and a kiss from everyone especially from Alice! And thanks for the necklace.

Le critiche vanno fatte se servono a migliorare ma in questo caso sono inutili ed infondate. Tutto infatti era ineccepibile. Dalla pulizia della camera, ai comfort, alla colazione che è stata "notevolmente apprezzata"!!! È evidente che la recensione è negativa perché i "signori", ignorando l'orario limite del check -out, volevano stare sino a tarda mattinata in camera e al fresco. Peccato che non si può fare quel che si vuole nelle case altrui....

Splendid seafront penthouse in a stunning location. Mrs. Lucia, who manages it, is a lovely and hospitable person. Spacious room equipped with a fridge, TV, air conditioning, bathroom complete with everything and above all cleanliness like at home. I will return!

The Nettuno Bed and Breakfast is located on the 5th floor with an elevator of a building that, externally, is literally falling apart, in a peripheral neighborhood near the seafront of Catania close to the Luna Park (however, the noise did not reach our room). The neighborhood is definitely not nice, we were just spending the night to catch an early morning flight. The room with bathroom is all new and clean, we booked a room for 3 adults, because our 16-year-old son is now 180 cm tall, but the bed for the third adult was the classic short and very uncomfortable camp bed, but it's a problem in many hotels. The lady is very kind and helpful. She recommended places to eat very fresh fish that was indeed delicious. Since we were leaving at 5 in the morning for the airport, she insisted on leaving a tray of croissants in the room. The parking inside the building is very useful if you are traveling by car.

Delle precisazioni occorre però farle: 1) Il palazzo è da ristrutturare ma la camera dove avete alloggiato, così come tutte le camere del B&B è nuovissima. 2) Il quartiere non è bello. E' stupendo.Non tutti infatti hanno la fortuna di avere degli immobili sul lungomare di Ognina visto il valore degli stessi. E lei non può giudicare una zona senza neppure conoscerla. Così giusto per avere qualcosa da scrivere... 3) La "brandina" dove ha dormito suo figlio è un letto da cm 90x180, quindi sicuramente nè corta nè scomoda 4) La colazione, cui ha dato voto 7, non eravamo neppure tenuti a dargliela visto l'orario. Neanche gli hotel gliela servirebbero. 5) Ha dato 7 al rapporto qualità/prezzo. Provi a trovare una struttura che le garantisca una camera tripla enorme, colazione e posto auto riservato al costo di € 70. E soltanto per una notte...Ma si sa, capita, per fortuna non spesso, che “non esiste saponata per lavar l'anima ingrata"..... Lucia Caponnetto
