Description
A house in the first half of the 900 belonged to the State Railway when its headquarters were in the adjacent Palazzo Cerretani. Exposed to the sun and the side facade of the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella, San Lorenzo market behind the station on the doorstep, the masterpieces of Florence around.

          A small B&B (2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms), airy, colorful, contaminated by Italian design, in my newly renovated apartment. On the third floor, no elevator for now, alas. I hope you like it, you're welcome.

I'm temporally living in the UK but originally from Japan. The room is absolutely fantastic. Very close to Santa Maria Novella station and convenient for everything. Elena is a kind owner and gave me very useful information before/during my stay. The room is totally clean and comfortable. At first, I felt a bit expensive for me but it was worth it. I have no regrets to recommend this room. Thank you, Elena, please accept me again when I can stay in Florence next time!

Perfect stopover. Great location for near railway station and local restaurants bars etc, super-comfy bed, good designer space, ace shower; hostess Elena is charming. Downsides - up several flights of stairs with no lift; has no outdoor space; street noise but AC works great. It felt fairly expensive for one person but would be fine for two and I didn't research guesthouses and the price is not high for Florence in Aug near station. Usual continental breakfast - lovely coffee but only one cup - she would no doubt have made more if asked.

All excellent: location, view, large room with private bathroom, night quietness (very important for me), kind hostess, privacy, breakfast. Highly recommended. Note: cats (but I like them) and no elevator (but not a problem for me).

We spent 3 days and 2 nights in this beautiful city, the clean and comfortable structure. The owner Elena is kind and friendly, the structure is located near the most important cultural activities. I recommend it to everyone.

My wife and I spent 3 wonderful days in Florence, thanks to the hospitality offered by Elena. In the heart of Florence, a stone's throw from Santa Maria Novella, she has created a cozy and comfortable B&B located in a strategic position for those who want to see the city's beauties. I rated all the services with the highest score because you will hardly find anything better, both in terms of price and hospitality. I recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to visit Florence and/or spend a few days in complete relaxation.

I can't find the right words to describe the courtesy and the familiar welcome of Elena, a perfect host. The Zip B&B, delightful in every detail, is centrally located just steps away from everything. Booking in this property doesn't just mean spending a night as a base to visit the city, but living a unique experience.

Hospitality, kindness and cleanliness. It's a pity it was just for a touch and go. We unfortunately only spent one night at the Zip B&B of dear Elena, but - even if for a short time - we had the chance to "taste" and enjoy Elena's friendliness, her excellent breakfast that welcomed us upon awakening, and the particular style that characterizes her B&B: a small modern gem in a city with historic features. The location of the B&B is very convenient: central and a stone's throw from the station. It is a support base that we recommend without any doubt. We will definitely come back in our next "touch and go" to/from Florence.

A small B&B on the third floor (no elevator) in a very central, strategic location in a restricted traffic area, managed with courtesy, availability, and a lot of kindness by Mrs. Elena. On foot, in a few minutes, you can reach the train station, the bus station or continue into the very close San Lorenzo district and to the classic Florentine destinations. Neat, clean room, immersed in silence, equipped with en-suite bathroom, TV, wifi signal.

Me and my girlfriend stayed in Florence for a weekend, we decided last minute and found this Zip B&B, perfect location for its proximity to both the center and the train station. Clean structure, well organized and recently renovated, spacious room. Elena the owner always available for advice and very kind, complete breakfast with homemade cake, juices, coffee, biscuits and much more.\n\nWe will keep it as a reference for a future visit to Florence.

Splendid B&B very close to the train station and a stone's throw from the center, convenient both for those visiting Florence and for those like me who come for work. The structure is located on the third floor of a historic building overlooking Piazza dell’Unità d’Italia, which is well connected from a transport point of view. Very bright and above all clean both the room and the bathroom (the shower is fantastic) enjoys a nice and elegant Italian-style decor. Very kind Elena welcomed me splendidly and prepared breakfast (for everyone buffet to be consumed in the room), ahead of the scheduled time meeting my needs. So the landlady is fantastic, you really feel at home here.\n\nI highly recommend it. See you soon Elena.

Welcoming environment, a stone's throw from Santa Maria Novella station, perfect hostess; after a few hours one ends up considering this Zip B&B as one's own home. I shared this experience with three other friends: we had a great time. The breakfast moment (rich and varied) was very nice, followed by a chat with Mrs. Elena (the hostess), always generous with excellent advice and real 'tips' on places to visit, but also curious to hear our feedback. Not to mention the great kindness she showed towards us on the day of departure: our train was scheduled to leave at 6:25 PM, well beyond the time when the rooms had to be vacated. Mrs. Elena allowed us to leave our luggage in the room and return to pick it up in the afternoon before departure, giving us the opportunity to use the services if needed. This allowed us to make the most of our last day in Florence, relieving us of any luggage management problems. The discrete and pleasant presence of Michelangelo and Nina, the two house cats. From 1 to 10 Rating 10 with honors.

Great Bed and Breakfast a stone's throw from the station and a short walk from the center. Very convenient to visit Florence, on the third floor of a building overlooking Piazza dell'Unità d'Italia, bright and above all very clean, both the room and the recently renovated bathroom. Elena was very kind to us, welcoming us with sympathy and telling us many things, she offered us tickets for the Pollock exhibition. The breakfast prepared on the spot by Elena was good and varied, buffet in the entrance and then to be consumed in the room. If you happen to pass by Florence, consider it because it's absolutely worth it.

Ho soggiornato 3 giorni allo Zip con mia moglie rimanendo pienamente soddisfatto. La camera è spaziosa nuovissima e pulita il bagno è impeccabile il tutto veramente a due passi dalla stazione di S. Maria Novella. La signora Elena che gestisce lo Zip è di grande simpatia, chiedete suggerimenti a lei per dove mangiare e cosa vedere oltre ai classici siti, ne resterete contenti. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti.

Ho soggiornato due notti da ZIP con mio figlio, una struttura davvero deliziosa e direi inaspettata dato che è ospitata in un palazzo d'epoca ma nell'arredamento è totalmente moderna e molto funzionale. Il gestore, la Signora Elena, è un architetto dotata di grande gusto che ha reso questo piccolo B&B molto funzionale e attraente grazie a delle soluzioni di arredamento molto funzionali. Bellissimi colori e attenzione a tutti i particolari. Ma non è solo la casa ospitale, lo è certamente anche la proprietaria pronta a fornire tutte le indicazioni per visitare bene Firenze e anche a dispensare delle vere "dritte" circa le ultime novità presenti in città. Siamo stati molto bene anche facendoci delle belle chiacchierate. La prima colazione, che si consuma nella propria camera, è molto ricca. Ho solo un suggerimento da dare ad Elena: per la colazione aggiungerei anche qualcosa di salato per tutti coloro che per vari motivi non amano o non possono mangiare roba dolce. Per il resto consiglio ZIP davvero a tutti.

Il B&B è molto curato e ricercato nell'arredamento, rinnovato di recente e tenuto nel massimo decoro, la colazione al mattino è ricca e ogni giorno variata, e poi sono grandi la cortesia e la competenza della proprietaria nell'indicare luoghi da visitare e dove poter mangiare in città. Ideale anche per la posizione strategica, in una posizione tranquilla, ma al tempo stesso a due passi dalla stazione ferroviaria e dal centro città.

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte a settembre in questo piccolo B&B, un vero gioiellino! Stanza pulita, curata, grande e ariosa. La proprietaria è una persona squisita e molto disponibile, ci siamo sentiti subito a casa nostra. Colazione abbondante e varia che si gusta direttamente in camera. Posizione più che strategica, davanti a Santa Maria Novella. Cosa chiedere di più? Consigliatissimo Marialuisa e Sergio.

Abbiamo soggiornato in tre (io mia moglie e mia figlia) per due notti. La struttura è ben tenuta, confortevole e ben arredata. La posizione, a mio avviso, è ideale per chi vuole brevi soggiorni in quanto molto vicino alla stazione di Santa Maria Novella. La signora Elena è una perfetta padrona di casa ed è attenta ad ogni esigenza degli ospiti (persona cortese, gentile e sempre presente). Consiglierei decisamente questa struttura.

Un brevissimo soggiorno con mio marito in questa luminosa e colorata dimora a pochissimi passi dalla chiesa e stazione di Santa Maria Novella. Accoglienza discreta, calorosa e cordiale della proprietaria che ci ha indirizzati ai numerosi punti di interesse, culturali, culinari e di shopping da raggiungere comodamente da casa. È infatti la vera impressione che si ha soggiornando in questa nuova struttura; essere a casa! Tutto è perfetto e accogliente; la camera, silenziosa anche se in pieno centro, il bagno, grande, comodo perfettamente attrezzato e funzionante; la colazione da consumare comodamente in camera propria, appena svegli. Torneremo sicuramente per restare qualche giorno in più!

Le camere sono bellissime, molto moderne, colorate e soprattutto pulite! La signora Elena è di una disponibilità e gentilezza squisita; inoltre è molto simpatica e si possono scambiare con lei piacevolmente due chiacchere. La location del bed and breakfast è eccellente; letteralmente a due passi dal cuore di Firenze (Duomo, Santa Maria Novella, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, stazione). Ci ritornerei volentieri. Abbiamo alloggiato presso il bed&breakfast Zip nel week end del 2 giugno 2014. Ci siamo trovati benissimo! Le stanze erano curate e confortevoli, la posizione ottimale per visitare Firenze (adiacente a Santa Maria Novella) e tranquilla. Elena è sempre molto cordiale e disponibile con i suoi ospiti. "Nella venerabile chiesa di Santa Maria Novella, un martedì mattina, non essendovi quasi alcuna altra persona, si ritrovarono sette giovani donne..." (Giovanni Boccaccio, Decameron, Prima giornata, introduzione) A due passi dal mercato di san Lorenzo, dal duomo e dal centro cittadino, vi troverete in un antico palazzetto. Al terzo piano Elena, padrona di casa gentilissima e discreta, vi aprirà la porta del B&B, luminoso, accogliente, colorato, dotato di ogni comfort. Le camere sono ben arredate, silenziose e confortevoli. La colazione, varia e abbondante, potrete consumarla comodamente in camera e, se preferite, comodamente in pigiama. Io sono stata praticamente a casa!

Ho prenotato ZIP B&B IN FLORENCE appena è risultato visibile on-line. Sono stato l'ospite numero 1. L'appartamento appena ristrutturato è arredato con gusto: meraviglioso. Bagni e camere sono belle quanto se non più che in foto, calde confortevoli e molto pulite ed Elena è simpaticissima disponibile e discreta. La posizione, inutile dirlo, è ottima. Insomma sono stato cosi bene da aver prenotato anche per la settimana a venire. Lo consiglio vivamente. Prenotatelo e non avrete sorprese.
