Located in San Lazzaro di Savena, the B&B Antico Vinaio welcomes its guests in a warm and family atmosphere within a historic residence dating back to the 1920s, carefully restored to preserve its authenticity. The facility, surrounded by a large garden overlooking the Savena stream, offers a tranquil retreat while being easily connected to vibrant Bologna via the historic Via Emilia, just a hundred meters away.

A very nice room (although not very large, but totally adequate), with an attached bathroom. The hosts are charming and welcoming, they live upstairs and offered to sort out any problems, would there have been any. The car can be parked safely in the courtyard. There is a trolley bus going into Bologna about three minutes' walk away, so that one can have a night out without any worries.

We had a very pleasant stay at B&B Antico Vinaio. The room was clean, spacious, and with a private bathroom. Both hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Right in front of the B&B there is a bus stop that takes you to the city center in 20-30 minutes. Thank you for everything!

We were welcomed by Elisa, a polite and well-mannered person. She made us feel comfortable. The presentation of the place and the room was clear and everything was in order. The house was presented to us clean and tidy. They were available to answer any questions or doubts. Breakfast in the morning with Nicola was good and abundant. Nicola, like his wife, was polite and well-mannered. I recommend the place also for its tranquility. It is located in a residential area away from the main road.

I adored its retro atmosphere with its antique furniture, it reminded me of my grandmother's house. Clean, the lady prepared a delicious chocolate cake for breakfast. A bit far from the center but with buses 15 and 19 in 20 minutes you are at the station and with 25 you are in the city center. Recommended for those like me who come to visit Bologna. Very quiet area.

Beautiful ancient house surrounded by a lovely garden, antique furniture, spacious room and above all very quiet. Located in a very reserved area although 100 meters from Via Emilia. Very kind owners. Good breakfast and very good homemade cakes, especially the ricotta one.

Great stay, I had a great time. The manager is very kind and friendly and the property is convenient for the proximity of the bus, which takes you quickly to the center of Bologna and to the station. You can have a sweet or savory breakfast and a very good cappuccino. Recommended for both business trips to San Lazzaro and for visiting Bologna.

We stayed just one night, my family and I. We were welcomed by Nicola who made us feel at home, very helpful and kind. Slept well, clean rooms and very abundant breakfast, the manager was available to accommodate every request. Worth trying.

The B&B Antico Vinaio where everything is superb. The owner is very kind, the breakfast is very good with delicious cakes. Beautiful location, a structure that has its own charm immersed in greenery and is very well connected to the center of Bologna by public transport. Excellent value for money. Truly a pleasant discovery. The B&B Antico Vinaio is easy to reach, welcoming, well-organized, and clean. The hosts are very kind and helpful. Mrs. Elisa's cake is excellent. Perhaps the only flaw is the lack of wifi, but it doesn't detract from the high quality of the structure. And frankly, one can do without it. I will definitely come back.

The B&B is located in a beautiful ancient building, restored with taste and respect for the original style; surrounded by the greenery of the large garden, which reaches the Savena river, it is a true oasis of tranquility and harmony. Five minutes away there is a bus stop that takes you to the city center and the train station. The interior is furnished with great taste and sensitivity, no detail is overlooked: the lit candles for breakfast, the chestnuts scattered on the beautiful bar counter, the glass stands, the vintage porcelain cups. The antique wardrobes are beautiful, the scent of linen sheets is welcoming, the kettle in the room for herbal teas is fantastic, and the breakfasts are delicious and abundant. The environment is pleasant and welcoming, very family-like and almost homely; the refined details add a sober and pure elegance to the atmosphere, like that of genuinely beautiful things. The owner Nicola is a delightful person, always smiling and kind, amiable and cordial, helpful and patient, even in case of unforeseen events.

Area Centro

In the mid-1920s my great-grandfather decided to build his house on the banks of the Savena stream.
San Lazzaro was, compared to Bologna, a country town: the road was unpaved and with very few houses, the stream Savena still swimming and so much land planted with vines and just from the profession of my great-grandfather who traded in wine was born the name "Ancient Vintner".
Today, although Bologna has incorporated San Lazzaro and consequently everything has changed, you can still perceive the bucolic atmosphere due to the immediate vicinity of the hills but above all thanks to the large garden that surrounds the whole house and ending on the bank of the Savena torrent characterizes the B & B as a kind of oasis in the city.
The house is a three-story villa inhabited only by the owner and his family.
At the side of the main entrance there is access to the private parking.
On the first floor a large terrace with pergola available to guests finds its consecration in the spring when all around fruit trees bloom and is ideal for relaxing after a hard day's work or after a visit to the historic center of Bologna that it is only 5 km away and is immediately reachable by a direct bus that stops at the beginning of via Minarini.
In addition to the visit to Bologna, San Lazzaro offers beautiful walks on the nearby hills where is the "Parco dei Gessi Bolognesi" and the famous cave of Spipola.
The Bologna fair is just a few kilometers away and all of the ring road.
