Pieve is the "capital" of the entire historical and social Cadore. In the square, dedicated to Titian (bronze monument of A. Del Zotto 1880), stands the Palace of the Magnificent Community of Cadore (XVI century, with crenellated tower) at the base of which is placed a marble remembrance of Pier Fortunato Calvi and other Cadore patriots died in the wars of independence against the Austrian Empire. In the square, you will encounter: the House of Titian the Orator (late sixteenth century), now home to a foundation of art-historical research, with frescoes of 1590; and the Palace Jacobi-Solero (seventeenth century, with later alterations).
From the square, going down the street Borgata Arsenal, Arsenal are the Piazzetta with a small eighteenth-century fountain topped by a statue of St. John of Nepomuk, the Palazzo Sampieri-Vallenzasca (late sixteenth century), with frescoes inside and outside and the sixteenth-century birthplace of Titian today museum.
