Talìa is an original accomodation facility in the heart of Val di Noto.

It is a small oasis in the historical center of Modica, surrounded by a beautiful baroque background.

Talìa is the ideal facility for a regenerating and relaxing stay in a place which is both natural and cultural: the sea is at short distance as well as the wonderful Sicilan baroque towns, which are, like Modica, Patrimony of Unesco.

The structure is composed by small houses, restored with natural and typical Sicilian materials, which frame a Mediterranean garden.

All the rooms, with private terrace and fully confortable, with a panoramic view on the historical center, have an indipendent entrance from the garden.

Everywhere there is a Mediterranean atmosphere, felt through sensations and colours, from West to East.

Spending few days in Talìa means to have a holiday in alternation between total relax in the garden, historical-artistic itineraries and simple walks in the desert seashores under the Mediterranean sun.

Very relaxing and comfortable! Great views from this B&B, but very hard to find at first.

Although I would strongly recommend Casa Talìa to friends and we enjoyed our stay very much, a few small improvements and better information are needed to justify the high price. Having a fabulous view, interesting individual rooms and good staff are not quite enough: guests need to know that the car park is 200 meters uphill from the hotel (it is however very rare to get a car park in central Modica), the bathroom needs towel rails to dry the towels properly as hooks are not sufficient, there is a lack of amenities in the rooms - no tea or coffee making facilities, no tissues, very limited toiletries, no bathrobes. Fix these small issues and you will have a lovely B&B which fully justifies the high price. Thank you for your welcome Carlo and Marco.

Great view, lovely garden, but. Average service, beds of poor quality, sometimes hot water, sometimes cold water in the shower, and after the shower the whole bathroom is flooded because the shower curtain is too small. And all this for a price where you could get a room in a 5-star hotel even in the low season, and this is what you have to measure up to.

Modica is incredibly beautiful and exciting – just like Casa Talìa. The location is perfect, the property is very lovingly and stylishly designed. Marco and his team are excellent hosts, discreet, polite, and at the same time warm. Breakfast in the garden - with a fantastic view of the city - is, especially by Italian standards, great, diverse, and put together with love for the region, making it particularly original. Small limitation: the rooms are not cheap, you don't get superficial luxury, but considering the uniqueness of this B&B, that doesn't matter. We enjoyed everything very much!

Fantastic location. The most beautiful to see Modica. The name does not disappoint. Room, mine, a bit spartan and essential, but pleasant. Uncomfortable parking and carrying things. Valentino very good and helpful and to follow his excellent advice.

Wonderful dwelling, expertly renovated. Magnificent view of a beautiful city. Excellent breakfast with selected raw materials. Very kind the owner Mr. Marco, with whom we had a conversational relationship during breakfast; equally kind and friendly Mr. Carlo in charge of customer reception, always attentive and generous with advice. They deserve praise and a new visit as soon as possible! Thank you.

A magical place, with a spectacular and unforgettable view over the enchanted panorama of Modica. The risk one runs is that of never wanting to leave the property and neglecting the city, which instead deserves more than one visit. The rooms and suites are furnished by Viviana Haddad, a renowned architect, and reflect the style that has made her famous and explains why her projects are sought after by people from all over the world. Her husband Marco, also an architect, takes care of all the details of hospitality and provides valuable advice on how to experience Modica and the Val di Noto. A 5-star B&B.

Talìa is located in Modica, in the South-East part of Sicily, a territory in which scenarios, places and architectural wonders have been kept untouched through the years.
Here, in the Val di Noto, natural quarries and uplands alternate with farms, olive trees, almond trees, carobs.

This is the baroque heart of the island, in front of Africa, in the genuine Sicily, where cooking traditions and religious events are still very popular.
The countryside near Modica is characterized by stone walls, olive trees and carobs. Nearby there are Ragusa, Caltagirone, Scicli, Ispica, Noto, Siracusa, the seashores of Sampieri, Marina di Modica, Marina di Ragusa, the Natural Reserve of Vendicari, Marzamemi, Kamarina.

From the nearby harbour of Pozzallo it is possibile to reach Malta by hydrofoil.

There are as well many oenological and gastronomic specialities in this area: the wine Nero d’Avola, the cheese Ragusano DOP, the oil of Frigintini, the tomatoes of Pachino, the famous chocolate of Modica.

For those who like sports, it is possible to do windsurf, kitesurf, sailing, horseriding, fishing and light flying.
