The bnb is excellent. Everything super clean. The bed is super comfy and big. Is easy to go there from the train station. The host Laila is super charming. She will give you recommendations and even show you paths to walk on Cinqueterre park on real map, old school edition as should be. I would for sure come back. If you don't speak Italian, you should have the Google translate at hand.

The property is very lovely. Mrs. Laila is a wonderful person and helped us with any need. The location is strategic, close to the station (5-6 minutes on foot) and to the port (10 minutes on foot). Breakfast is a delight for the palate. I absolutely recommend it.

Birthday trip/gift for my dearest friend! The owner is a very kind lady who welcomed us warmly. She provided us with information, brochures and everything possible to make our stay easier. The location is fairly convenient both for reaching La Spezia Centrale station and the ferries. Breakfast is to be taken at a nearby bar where they make truly excellent croissants and pastries. Our only regret is that we were not able to say goodbye to her before departure.

Il Gelsomino d'oro is an excellent accommodation. The room, with a private bathroom, is very well cared for and perfectly clean. In addition, the location is convenient for reaching both the station and the city center. The owner is very kind and helpful and can give excellent advice on places to visit. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed at the B&B over the Easter weekend in 2025. The property is strategically located: five minutes on foot from the station and the same amount of time from the pleasant city center of La Spezia. Additionally, it is convenient to reach the port for departures to the Cinque Terre (about ten minutes on foot), and a few steps away is the bus stop that allows you to reach Portovenere in about half an hour. The owner welcomed us exquisitely, providing precise advice regarding the wonderful possibilities offered by the splendid territory of the Riviera di Levante. The room is cozy, has independent access, and features good spaces and a private bathroom. It also has all the comforts (kettle, minibar, hairdryer, etc.) to ensure a pleasant stay (even beyond the classic weekend, in my opinion). Breakfast is served at excellent cafés and pastry shops just below the B&B: a choice we greatly appreciated for its quality and quantity. An aspect that could be improved, for which I don’t rate the property, is nonetheless neat and pleasant, with a 10 in cleanliness: the presence of a slight musty smell from the service, with forced ventilation, compatible with the ancient age of the building and easily resolvable by simply closing the door. One last highly positive detail that I find worth mentioning is the presence of safety devices fully compliant with current regulations and well marked (fire extinguisher and first aid kit) that I have hardly encountered in other B&Bs. In conclusion, I can only recommend the B&B Gelsomino d'Oro to those wishing to visit La Spezia, the Cinque Terre, and their enchanting surroundings.

The B&B is located in the center of La Spezia, on Corso Cavour. The station is 10 minutes away on foot, and there are many bus stops and services (such as supermarkets and restaurants) right outside the house. The location is very convenient. Moreover, Mrs. Laila, the owner of the B&B, is really nice and helpful; she made me feel welcomed right away. With a few bus stops, you can reach the port of La Spezia, where you can book boat trips to the Cinque Terre. The Cinque Terre can also be reached by train. In short, the property has an excellent location and nearby services. The breakfast is good, and you can have it in a bar right under the house.
