This B&B is among my favorite places to stay in Italy. It's a charming old stone structure situated in a delightful village in the Frignano region of the Emilian Apennines. The rooms are nicely furnished, comfortable and very clean, a number have good views of the surrounding mountains, and everyone has access to a small but pleasant garden, as well as to a lounge area with the makings of tea and coffee (the local water is famously pure). An abundant and delicious breakfast is served in a room adjoining the inn. The only problem I experienced during my recent several-day stay was with access to WiFi, but this was remedied fairly quickly. Breakfast is included in the price of a stay, and the proprietors are also prepared to make meals on request for an additional price; further, there's an excellent local restaurant, the Osteria del Trebbo, and a hotel with a bar and restaurant next door to Casa Benassi.

Though we had a late arrival and only one night at Casa Benassi, we had a very warm welcome by Alberto. The house has a really high standard and had been renovated by the owners in an impressive way! Finally, the breakfast was extraordinary though we had been the only three guests! Many thanks that we could experience this relaxing stay!

Alberto and his wife were very helpful and accommodating. Their B&B was impeccable. My room was newly renovated and very comfortable. The bathroom had modern fixtures but also had a warm charm to it. I also appreciated how quiet it was. (I was there in the off season so being the only one renting a room for two nights I'm sure helped). The inviting common kitchen area was at my disposal and the fresh fruit and pastries were delectable. Casa Benassi exceeded my expectations! I'm looking forward to returning in the future!

We do not ski, but instead were visiting our ancestral home. We very much enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone passing through the area. The owners are very nice and the hotel is simply beautiful.

Great property, well located for visiting nearby villages or for going on treks or walks. The place is very beautiful and the room was tidy and clean. The manager is helpful. There is an outdoor hot tub and you can have an aperitif. Two saunas, one Finnish and the other infrared (I think), very nice. There is excellent outdoor parking. From the room there is a view of the mountains.

Grazie mille signora Bassoli, per la bella recensione... per completezza e per info ci terrei a precisare che come avrà visto Casa Benassi è una piccola struttura a gestione familiare, è un B&B_ R&B , con poche unità, con poche camere. (non siamo nè un resort, nè un hotel 4- 5 stelle). abbiamo puntato sui servizi...piscina riscaldata con zone spa, 2 tipi di saune e vasca jacuzzi. quindi...a parte la mancanza delle famose uova e spremute fresche, abbiamo veramente un ampia scelta, nel dolce ma anche nel salato. e con un BUFFET ILLIMITATO , sia di cibo che di bevande , cosa non scontata nei "classici B&B " . come SALATO ha trovato e troverete sempre, almeno 2 tipi FORMAGGI freschi del caseificio, almeno 2 tipi SALUMI affettati vari tipi di PANE e la PIZZA margherita o rossa . 3 tipi di SUCCHI di FRUTTA di qualità , e prepariamo al momento tutte le bevande calde, (no macchinette self-service), cappuccini con latte di montagna, caffè, orzo, disponibile anche latte di soya, latte senza lattosio, vari the, tisane, ecc... ecco, questo è quello che offriamo, mi scusi ma ci tenevo a puntualizzare, anche per i futuri ospiti. uova e spremute fresche non li troverete, ma tutto il resto davvero non manca. grazie ancora di essere stata nostra gradita ospite, e cordiali saluti Giorgia e Alberto.

We spent 2 nights here with our daughter. The very kind host gave us the spacious, clean, and well-kept apartment. Breakfast with excellent sweet products. For the savory, I would suggest a bit more, but everything was still very good. Highly recommended.

We went here twice within a month and we always had a great time. The place is wonderful with a view of the mountains, the heated pool is lovely because we were able to swim despite the days not being sunny, the staff is very kind and the breakfast, rich in many delicious cakes, is excellent. The rooms are very clean and very welcoming. We had a great time and we will definitely come back again.

Mountain-style structure, typical wooden furnishings suitable for the environment. Nice outdoor pool, books available for guests, parking in front of the structure, abundant breakfast and very kind manager. The room was fresh and clean in my case with a view of the street, but there are various types of rooms, it's better to prefer those at the back, quieter and with a better view.

Beautiful B&B close to many paths and lakes where one can go. Casa Benassi is very clean, fresh, and the room is comfortable and spacious. Sometimes you feel like you're in Trentino because of the attention to detail. The owners are very kind and attentive to every request, and this represents one of the pluses of this establishment. The B&B has an outdoor pool with a hot tub (in the summer season when I stayed), an infrared sauna, a Finnish sauna, and outdoor hot tubs in the winter season. Unfortunately, I could not try them due to the already almost summer temperatures, but this is a reason to return. Breakfast is not a 10 but more! Congratulations for everything!

Beautiful room with all the amenities. It's great that there's a spa in the garden with an aperitif service, just ring the bell and the wonderful manager arrives. Impeccable service, always available, very kind. It felt like being at home.

Although I went during two days of heavy rain, it was very pleasant to relax in the sauna inside, outside, and in the hot tub under the rain. The breakfast the next morning was also greatly appreciated, with plenty of choices and good quality.

We took three days for ourselves to relax and disconnect. I must say that we found the perfect place, very quiet and serene. The owners are very nice. A swimming pool with an adjacent garden that is very welcoming. Perfect cleanliness. Abundant continental breakfast. We highly recommend it.

Casa Benassi is a comfortable, quiet, relaxing place in the most authentic part of the Modenese Apennines. Riolunato itself but also Pievepelago, Fiumalbo. An excellent base to explore the area and enjoy the Sant'Anna Pelago waterfall trail and then relax by the pool, in the green garden, overlooking a beautiful valley.

Beautiful, well-kept, and clean structure! We stayed for 2 nights and dined both evenings at the 'Casa Benassi' restaurant. The dishes were all really excellent! The breakfast, both sweet and savory, was very varied and abundant. The homemade cakes were uniquely delicious. The most spectacular thing is the mountain view sauna and the heated outdoor hot tub with the option to have an aperitif right there. Simply by ringing a bell, we were able to order the drink we desired! The managers were very kind and caring! We had a wonderful anniversary focused on relaxation!

Wonderful place for a romantic getaway. Quiet, clean, and the wellness area is stunning and private. The only downside is that there isn't much around to grab a drink, but it's easily reachable.

Nice structure and excellent breakfast with delicious homemade cakes and much more. The only downside is the manager, very polite and attentive to customer needs but really unsociable. The only time in my life I left a place without being able to say goodbye because the manager told us to leave the keys at the door and then we couldn't find him anymore. We still feel guilty, but it was not our fault.

Buongiorno, sì ha ragione signora Gabriella, vi chiediamo scusa, è stato un fine settimana particolare, c ' era la notte bianca in paese. ed avevamo ospitato nel nostro giardino, l' Osteria della Solidarietà, con i volontari dell associazione ASEOP, (Oncologia - ematologia Pediatrica di Modena), e facevamo da mangiare per la festa, e tutto il ricavato andava ai bambini. E quando ci hanno chiesto una mano per l organizzazione, l allestimento, ecc..non ci siamo sentiti di dire di no; e quindi chiediamo scusa a voi e agli altri ospiti se si sono sentiti in un qualche modo "trascurati" questo fine settimana. è stato un evento eccezionale, solitamente io e mio marito siamo sempre presenti in struttura o in veranda. probabilmente in quei momenti ci avevano chiamato in giardino per aiutarli a smontare tutti i macchinari della cucina. speriamo ancora di avervi come graditi ospiti, sperando di fare meglio:)) saluti da Giorgia..e Alberto.

Nice and organized structure, too bad we stayed during a rainy period that didn't allow us to use, for example, the outdoor hot tub. Breakfast was good in general, by choosing the savory option we didn't taste the sweets. Dinner once with a very simple menu. Dogs are allowed in the dining room, like in many other places, but there are no special features in the welcome. On a positive note, on each floor there is a refreshment area equipped with a microwave, a small fridge, a kettle with instant coffee, a sink, dishes... even though in covid times I didn't trust too much as they were entrusted to the guests; presence of alcohol-based disinfectant and paper napkins...

Excellent accommodation! Despite being close to the road, we didn't hear any noise at night. Exceptional breakfast with fantastic homemade cakes and much more, including savory options. The structure is very welcoming, perfectly clean, internally equipped with a very pleasant infrared sauna and a whirlpool tub in the garden, equally enjoyable. Our room (a triple) was quite large, functional in every way, equipped with very comfortable mattresses and, as already mentioned for the structure, excellently clean. The passion with which Alberto and his wife manage it is evident in the attention to detail. Impeccable accommodation, impossible to be disappointed! Well-managed and tastefully decorated property. The attention to detail that makes Casa Benassi cozy and comfortable is evident right away. Group of 6 people plus a newborn and a Labrador, we had no problems at all. The manager is very discreet and attentive to customers' needs, the place is really nice for those who want to immerse themselves in walks in the woods or, when possible, ski (very close ski facilities). We will definitely come back at a time of year when congestion due to crowds will be minimal.

On October 18, 2014, my wife and I visited Riolunato, a beautiful village in the province of Modena, and stayed at the B&B Casa Benassi. A very beautiful and well-maintained structure by the managers, friendly and very kind people. The room cleanliness was impeccable and a pleasant scent lingered in the room upon our arrival. The breakfast was rich and varied. I highly recommend anyone passing through that area to stop at the B&B Casa Benassi. It's really worth it.
