We stayed with Roberto and his mother, Maria, for a week and everything was just perfect. The hosts were the epitome of hospitality. Both were super friendly and attentive; the place is cozy, quiet, and set in a wonderful landscape of authentic green Tuscan scenery. The apartment is perfectly equipped - you won't miss a thing and the hosts provide breakfast items, good coffee and something sweet with the coffee, as well as cleaning the apartment. San Gimignano is within a pleasant walking distance (otherwise there is a local bus that runs quite often). It's just a short drive to Florence, Siena, Chianti, Val d'Orcia and more, so this is the perfect place to stay if you plan to explore larger parts of Tuscany. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely lovely stay,although it was only for one night. Roberto and his family were very accommodating,generous and helpful even though we couldn't speak Italian;we mainly communicated using a translation app. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was large and clean. We were given a room with a double bed and a bunk bed. Amenities were also well provided. Breakfast,although mainly prepacked goods and not freshly prepared,was plentiful and more than sufficient. We booked the room through WhatsApp because we did not receive a reply when requesting it through the website.

We enjoyed our stay at Podere Le Retine, it was very nice and quiet. Roberto's family is so nice and welcoming. It's about 20 minutes walk to the main tourist sight and we enjoyed our view of the towers and countryside during our walk.

Lovely place just outside San Gimignano. A really warm welcome. Roberto is a really friendly host who went out of his way to make us comfortable. Beautiful garden, quiet surroundings. If we visit San Gimignano again we would definitely stay.

We liked the agritourism style of the place with a new and clean apartment. Host (Italian nona) was super helpful and very sweet lady. Good distance from San Gimignano city, with bus stop right at the entrance to front garden of agritourism. Worth to spend our time in Tuscany for sure!

Nothing less to be expected than a place like home. The keep is 2 km from San Gimignano, embedded in the countryside, yet groomed to perfection. The rooms are almost as lovely as the hosts, and furnished of every commodity. We had our mini fridge refilled every day with goods for breakfast, and got blessed with a bottle of 4-year-old Chianti on our desk. Highly recommended for a sweet and peaceful trip for couples.

Podere Le Retine is a very beautiful property with very nice rooms. The hosts are really caring, unfortunately they do not speak English. But with gestures and movements you can communicate very well with Roberto and his mother Maria. Located in a very quiet area, only about 3 minutes drive from San Gimignano. We stayed one night at this B&B to visit San Gimignano and we were very satisfied. The house is close to the historic center, about 1.5 km away, set among vineyards and olive trees and, above all, in a peaceful location. One suggestion: adding some fresh products could give it an extra touch. The property, a finely renovated country house, combines the rustic charm of wooden beams and terracotta floors with the modern comfort of rooms with private bathroom and TV. The well-kept garden offers a wonderful view of San Gimignano and provides an oasis of peace and relaxation. Nearby there are sports facilities with a swimming pool and tennis courts, perfect even for those who enjoy jogging. We had a great stay. The host was welcoming and the place is beautiful, close to the center. The value for money is excellent. The breakfast was, I must say, well organized. We really liked the idea of the coffee machine in the room with a fridge and everything needed to have breakfast independently directly in the room.

I stayed at this Bed & Breakfast in San Gimignano and the experience was truly special. The location is excellent, a short walk from the historic center, yet in a quiet and relaxing setting. The room was clean, welcoming and carefully decorated, with a beautiful view of the Tuscan hills that made waking up even more pleasant. Breakfast was plentiful and genuine, with fresh, typical local products, served with great care and friendliness. Great choice. My wife and I stayed four nights. The property is welcoming, clean and well kept, in a very quiet area, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and just a short walk from San Gimignano. The room had everything needed for a do-it-yourself breakfast and a minibar that was always stocked. A hug to the hosts Roberto and Mrs. Maria, who were very kind and always available even for a chat. A heartfelt thanks also for the gift received for the birthday celebrated at the property. I was with my wife for just two days, but the warmth, kindness, and nice conversations made us feel at home right away. Maria is super nice, Roberto is a person of a rare kindness. Self-service breakfast, with a minibar in the room to store anything, especially in summer. I could go on for hours listing things, but we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything, even for the throat candy upon departure.

I would say excellent is not enough, courtesy and attention to the customer are maximum. Significantly superior to others with costs up to three times higher. My luggage was also transported in the car. The chocolate on the bedside table was also of excellent quality. I also found lactose-free milk in the fridge. I was amazed, they deserve a visit from them. A warm greeting to the elderly owner and her son, manager and worker in agritourism and beyond. I think I have a good judgment because I often use these structures.

I stayed at Podere Le Retine during the bridge of April 25th and it was a wonderful experience. The structure is a renovated farmhouse, with exposed beams and terracotta floors, immersed in the tranquility of the Tuscan countryside, just 2 km from the historic center. I stayed in a cozy room, equipped with a private bathroom and TV. The garden is wonderful, with a breathtaking view of the medieval towers of San Gimignano. Nearby I also found a pool and tennis courts, perfect for relaxing even more. I was warmly welcomed by Roberto and his mother Maria, who were very kind and attentive to detail: they offered me a welcome bottle of wine and found chocolates in the room. Even the breakfast, although self-managed, was abundant and with high-quality products. I found the rooms spotless and I really appreciated the quiet of the area, ideal for resting after sightseeing. The location of the podere is perfect for exploring San Gimignano and the surrounding area. Overall, my stay at Podere Le Retine exceeded my expectations: excellent value for money, sincere hospitality, and a truly special location. I can't wait to return!

We were hosted by Roberto during our Francigena by bike and we were super happy with his hospitality. Although San Gimignano is a very sought-after tourist destination, Roberto was very kind, far beyond our expectations, and treated us really very warmly. The property is in an excellent location, just outside the village but easily accessible. The room was spotless and equipped with everything, highly recommended 😊.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful structure where Roberto, the manager, with kindness and availability out of the ordinary, provided us with a nice double room with a bunk bed and a spacious and comfortable bathroom, in addition to a kitchen where we could independently have breakfast very early in the morning with the many products, of excellent quality, made available to us. There were also treats with chocolates, nougats, and even a bottle of excellent local vernaccia to take home as a memento of this delightful vacation. Furthermore, Roberto gave us very useful indications regarding parking and restaurants where we felt very well. In short, Podere Le Retine is an ideal place to stay just a short distance from the city, immersed in peace and greenery.

Two-night stay as a couple. We requested a room, and Roberto reserved the apartment for us, which was very spacious, comfortable, and equipped with complete amenities in the room, bathroom, and kitchen. There was a good selection of breakfast products available, and the fridge was always stocked with water, fruit juices, and yogurt. We were pampered with a pastry on the bedside table and a welcome bottle of wine. Roberto and his mother Maria are very friendly; they make you feel at ease and give useful advice. The place is very nice, quiet, and surrounded by greenery, with private parking and a garden, not far from San Gimignano, which can even be reached on foot (2 km). Highly recommended.

We stayed for just one night with our two daughters, but we would have stayed for much longer! Our room was a small apartment with a kitchen equipped with everything, where we were able to prepare breakfast with all the products that Mr. Roberto had prepared for us. Excellent cleanliness, we have never found such a clean place with attention to every little detail (even the slippers and chocolates for our girls). The owner, Mr. Roberto, is a truly friendly and super kind person. In addition to giving us a bottle of welcome wine, he provided us with many useful tips for visiting San Gimignano. I gave the highest rating because it is truly deserved, starting from Roberto's availability and kindness, to the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, to the convenient location for visiting not only San Gimignano but also Siena, Volterra, and other places. The panorama and the beauty of the territory, from the hills to the vineyards, are truly relaxing, as is the nighttime silence that allows for a good rest. Immersed in the Tuscan countryside, the center can also be reached on foot or by bus; or you can follow Roberto's advice on where to park a stone's throw from the center (we did so and had a great time. The welcome was very kind and the stay beyond our expectations: we were even offered a welcome bottle of Vernaccia, from vineyards near the B&B. Very abundant breakfast and top cleanliness and covered parking. We stayed only one night, but we will definitely return when we plan a longer visit to those magnificent places.

I stayed at this property for a short vacation and felt right at home. The room they assigned to me was perfect, cool and dry, excellently furnished, equipped with every comfort, large bathroom with a spectacular shower and a huge mirror. Impeccable cleanliness. Mini-bar daily restocked with everything (fruit juices, yogurt, cereals, water, etc.) and a bottle of wine offered upon arrival. Staying at the Roberto and his mother's property was an experience within the experience of the Via Francigena. The breakfast was abundant (every morning what was consumed was replenished!) and self-managed. We were impressed by the cleanliness (the rooms were cleaned every morning) and the kindness of the host who surprised us with chocolates, a bottle of Chianti, and one morning an extra super breakfast! Roberto, the manager, is very attentive. I had the room with exclusive use of the kitchen, including everything, really everything. The breakfast was abundant, with coffee, cappuccino, juices, croissants... everything was extremely clean (REALLY, not like certain reviews!). The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious, the atmosphere relaxing, peaceful, with breathtaking views: the Tuscan hills are of a unique beauty... It's a shame I only stayed one night. There are really no words to describe how well we were, the score of 10 is an understatement. 3 fabulous nights from all points of view. Very beautiful, well-kept, clean location, the apartment that was given to us always in order, top cleanliness and the attached kitchen provided with everything and more both in terms of utensils and for breakfast. Well connected even for those who want to go to San Gimignano by public transport or for a walk (about 2.5 km from San Gimignano). Every day everything necessary for breakfast was replenished, jams, rusks, juices, yogurt, water and everything else. Not to mention the welcome of Roberto and Maria, the owners who hosted us, the cordiality, the personal sympathy. A welcome thought, a local wine and chocolates on the bedside tables, seems little but it is not. We are really happy and will definitely return for next December and also breathe the Christmas atmosphere. Thank you so much Roberto and Maria.

Structure just outside the historic center of San Gimignano, reachable by car in just 5 minutes. Honestly, the managers of the property (mother and son) were truly excellent, kind, and generous in every way. In the room, we found a nice bottle of quality local wine on the table, with a beautiful room complete with a truly wonderful bathroom. Around the property, there is immense greenery with a heavenly peace. Not to mention that we had a fridge full of everything, and as soon as one night passed, they filled it up again. We had both the coffee machine with its respective capsules and also the one for making cappuccino (very easy to use). When we left, they also gave us many things they produce. We will miss that place and the two of them so much. I hope that next year we can go there and stay for a week.

We have just left Podere Le Retine and we already miss it! The structure is the best you can find, surrounded by greenery, a stone's throw from the center of San Gimignano. The apartment where we stayed for 3 nights is very beautiful, spotless, furnished in the smallest details and very well-kept. The attention to the guest is paramount, upon our arrival in the apartment we found a bottle of wine, slippers, and candies on the bedside tables waiting for us! The apartment is equipped with air conditioning, television in the bedroom and in the kitchen, a very spacious bathroom, and a parking space for the car or in our case for the motorcycle, every day the owners also provided us with everything we needed for breakfast! Roberto and his mom, Mrs. Maria, gave us excellent advice on where to eat and what to visit in the surroundings. Truly two people whose kindness is disarming and feels like from another era, and with whom we are happy to have spent time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything. The place is stunning, immersed in the greenery of the Tuscan hills, among olive groves and vineyards as far as the eye can see. In the evening, if you look up at the sky, you feel surrounded by a blanket of very bright stars, and in the morning you wake up to the chirping of the sparrows. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. The breakfast was plentiful. A special thank you and a hug to MARIA and ROBERTO who, with their kindness, made us feel truly at home. Thanks to the hospitality and kindness of Roberto and Maria I spent a wonderful day with my sister. The place is enchanting, immersed in the countryside a stone's throw from San Gimignano and still a good base to visit other important Tuscan villages. The B&B is clean and very well-kept with a large garden ideal for having breakfast in the morning, spending moments of relaxation or working if you are like me who carry the computer with you. The room is very welcoming, tastefully furnished and equipped with everything and more. The price is low for the treatment and service offered. Too bad we only stayed one night! What can I say? It's a shame we only stayed for one night. Beautiful outdoor space (so much greenery), clean room furnished very nicely, spacious bathroom. Many beautiful reviews are deserved: personally verified! We stayed at this very charming Vacation Home for 4 nights and we already miss it so much! The property deserves ratings above 10, for everything: kindness, availability and discretion, extreme and sincere; cleanliness and attention to details; strategic location, very close to the renowned village but immersed in the countryside; the price is definitely low compared to what it offers. I won't dwell on the wonders, among small beautiful villages and more famous cities, visitable nearby: Poggibonsi, Monteriggioni, Volterra, Colle Val d'Elsa, Certaldo, Siena just to name a few of those visited. These are places that "allow" another dimension: a "leap" into history and traditions together with a closeness to nature and its scents. What can I say. Strategic location to visit half of Tuscany, excellent cleanliness, beautiful cottage, secluded enough with the possibility of using the kitchen and a very pleasant garden. The manager Roberto with his nice mom is of a kindness and discretion truly unique. They made us find a welcome gift from their estate and, believe it or not, on the evening of August 15th he prepared an aperitif dinner worthy of the best local restaurants. We chose the B&B Podere Le Retine somewhat randomly as a stopover for just one night during a road trip with the motorcycle. Immersed in the heart of San Gimignano, we walked a short dirt path and as soon as we arrived we were greeted by Roberto, the very friendly and cordial owner, and later by dear Maria. They immediately made us feel at ease and provided us with a lot of information about the town. The property is just outside the citadel, in a quiet area surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, a stone's throw from the communal pool. Our room, located on the first floor, was very pretty, clean, well-ventilated, equipped with air conditioning and with excellent amenities. The surrounding panorama and the beautiful garden available to guests with armchairs and sun loungers. Long chats and pleasant hospitality. My partner and I chose this B&B somewhat by chance as a stop for just one night during a holiday in Tuscany. What can I say, we were welcomed like family by both Roberto and dear Maria! The property was welcoming and characteristic, Mrs. Maria was extremely friendly towards them from the start and always available to fulfill all their requests. The room cleanliness was impeccable, the laundry fragrant, and excellent quality/price ratio of the property. In the immediate vicinity, there is a complex of pools and football/tennis courts that can be reached on foot. Furthermore, the beautiful San Gimignano is just a 2 km walk away. A very pleasant discovery. My family and I stayed only one night at this bed and breakfast. The manager of the structure, Mr. Roberto together with his mother, are extremely courteous and helpful. Clean room, spacious and clean bathroom. The Bed and Breakfast is located inside a farmhouse with olive trees and vineyards where a pleasant tranquility reigns. Last but not least, the quality-price ratio is excellent.

My wife and I were guests at Podere Le Retine for the April 25th holiday. Just 1.5 km from the center of San Gimignano, yet in the open countryside, the location of the property is remarkable, as well as the hospitality and the room. Cleanliness, courtesy, maximum availability, absolutely familiar and pleasant atmosphere. We highly recommend it to everyone and have already recommended it to relatives and friends. We plan to return as soon as possible this summer to enjoy the evenings in the beautiful setting that the garden of the property offers, complete with sunbeds and deck chairs to relax. Unbeatable value for money! Long live Podere Le Retine!

Roberto welcomed us with a smile and great kindness. We had a great time at his Bed and Breakfast and he provided us with all the information to fully enjoy San Gimignano. The room is simple, but equipped with every comfort, clean and welcoming. Only downside: breakfast to improve.

Exceptional structure, we had a great time. The owners are very kind, the room is cozy and clean. The structure is located in a panoramic area and is very close to the center of San Gimignano, also reachable on foot. Surely, if we return to the area, we will stay here again.

Excellent value for money! What matters even more is the positive experience of staying in a welcoming and quiet environment at the same time, immersed in the real Tuscan countryside but very close to the center of San Gimignano. The kindness and hospitality of the owners and the beauty of the room complete the picture of a perfect stay. Only a pity we couldn't stay longer (but it will be a good reason to come back!).
