B&B Le Eriche

Absolutely loved this place; what a gem! Perched on a little hill with a fantastic view from the room's entrance, it also has a private garden where we enjoyed sipping coffee every morning. Fiametta is a lovely and warm hostess who made sure we had everything we needed each day and brought us a delicious breakfast that my son loved. We would 200% stay here again.

The hosts are very kind and attentive. The apartment is tastefully furnished and offers a beautiful view of the lake. The breakfasts are plentiful and very delicious. The hosts have created a lovely garden around their house, which makes the stay even more pleasant. I recommend this place to others, even though it is further from the city center and you need to get there by car. Anyone who wants peace and quiet will find it here.

Camelia has everything you need and more. Magnificent views, great breakfast and excellent facilities. A couple of things to be aware of: the deposit could only be paid via PayPal, and the host passes the fee on to the guest; it would be helpful to have another sign for Le Eriche at the final fork to avoid going down a perilous steep lane that leads nowhere.

Fantastic place and view, great room and equipment, very good Italian breakfast. The hosts are very nice, helpful and easy to communicate with in English. No problem paying by card. High-quality Wi-Fi access.

We had a lovely stay at this charming B&B and, although it is located a little out of town and up in the hills, we enjoyed the peaceful location. We cannot recommend the owners highly enough; they went above and beyond all expectations to accommodate us. It was a little challenging at times due to an elderly traveller who was with us, but everything was overcome. I would definitely suggest hiring a car as the bus service was a bit irregular and non-existent on Sundays. All in all, we had a wonderful time in the most beautiful and tranquil spot on Lake Como.

Fiammetta was a wonderful host, also Pierro a true gentleman. We are happy that we booked their place, the view on the lake is beautiful from there. We were offered things that weren't included in the booking and we are grateful for these. We recommend to have a car as the property is somewhat above Menaggio, however there is also a scheduled bus that can take you to the village in only 10 minutes. Highly recommended this place!

The most beautiful place with the most friendly hosts! The view of the lake is wonderful and Fiammetta and Piero do everything for their guests. The garden is full of roses and flowers - a little paradise uphill of Menaggio.

Staying with our hosts, Fiammetta and Piero, was like staying with family. It was here that we enjoyed a delicious homemade breakfast and rested with a glass of wine in the evenings after sightseeing. Our hosts were very accommodating and they made us feel at home. Lovely stay with the nice couple that helped us with any needs we came with. Amazing view in a very nice and green garden. You have your own house next to theirs. It is very spacious with a nice bed and bathroom.

We arrived at B&B Le Eriche to be warmly greeted by our hosts, Piero & Fiammetta. The B&B is peacefully situated with an incredible view of Lake Como. We were served coffee on our terrace whilst we enjoyed the spectacular views. Our room (camillia room) was a delight with many personal touches. The Italian breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day. It really was a pleasure to stay at B&B Le Eriche and our hosts were always on hand to offer advice and recommendations. Such a beautiful place and one we would definitely recommend.

We arrived at B&B Le Eriche on a very chilly and windy day, but nothing could detract from the beauty of the property and its location. It overlooks Lake Como, and to walk into the garden and see the gorgeous view every morning was a delight. We had the Mimosa room, which was spacious and very well equipped – we chose it as we were staying for a week and didn’t want a basic hotel room. There was a large bed and wardrobe, a sofa bed, kitchenette with microwave and fridge, dining table and a good-sized bathroom. The room had been newly renovated and was clean and attractive. Breakfast was served in the garden and was lovely – cakes, toast, fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt plus cheese and ham. It was different every day, and we were always asked if we needed anything more. Fiametta and Piero were lovely hosts - they were happy to help and responsive to requests and made several recommendations for places to visit. The location of B&B Le Eriche does require a car, and the roads are slightly scary at first, but we highly recommend the property and would visit again without hesitation.

This is a picture postcard perfect location for a B&B. Pietro and Fiamettta are the perfect hosts making you feel completely at home. Breakfasts are amazing and the quality of the home cooked elements are superb (especially the lemon cake). My husband had a special birthday while we were there and there was a candle for each decade in his morning piece of cake. The view from the rooms is truly gorgeous over Lake Como with Varenna and Bellagio across the water. Both hosts give very useful information on transport and good places to visit and eat dinner. We were sad to leave and felt the hosts had become our friends whilst we were there. Thank you for an amazing holiday.

If I could give more than 10 points, I would.

As we say in Boston, the B&B Le Eriche was wicked awesome. The hosts were terrific, friendly, and great cooks. The house is located on the hill overlooking Lake Como, beautiful for morning sunrise, night sunset, and any other time to just sit. One of the better places in Italy that we stayed.

I have only rated the location of this property a 5 due to us having no transport and the public bus service finishing at 5.35 pm from Menaggio. The walk down takes about 20 minutes but climbing up the numerous steps after a day of walking spoiled it for us. Of course you can take a taxi at around 15 euros a journey! With a private car there would be no problem or in the apartment cooking your own meal instead of going out again in the evening. The hosts were lovely picking us up from the harbour and taking us back for which we were very grateful. They even prepared a meal for us one evening. The B&B for me was all about the view and would suit a couple who want a peaceful stay and enjoy each other's company.

It was all in all a lovely experience with B&B Le Eriche and our hosts. The room is big and has a very nice decoration with everything you need in it, including a very comfy bed. The small garden and the lake view is fantastic.

WOW is the word that comes to mind when describing the B&B of Piero and Fiametta. We enjoyed one of the most beautiful views in the world while having our delicious traditional northern Italian breakfasts and our equally delicious dinner. Piero and Fiametta could not have been better hosts, even helping me change a flat tire and escorting me to the shop to get it repaired. Hopefully we'll make it back to the Lake Como area. Fiammetta and Piero made our stay in Como truly memorable! Their property is just fabulous - we loved sitting in the garden, overlooking the lake and just chilling out as much as we enjoyed being on the lake and visiting the various islands which are just a short boat trip ride away. We were kept very well fed both by Fiammetta's wonderful cooking and the delicious breakfasts (amazing scrambled eggs and tasty baked goodies) that we enjoyed on our garden terrace and also by Piero's dinner recommendations which were all great and allowed us to experience some fantastic local restaurants. We had a really lovely 3-night stay and were sad to leave, hopefully, we'll be able to visit again sometime soon.

Great place on Lake Como! We did a 3-day stop on our European honeymoon and had a great relaxing time. Fiammetta and Piero are great people! So accommodating and delightful to chat with. The property is in the hills above Menaggio and has an amazing view of the lake. The walk into town is about a mile and steep unless you choose to take the bus which picks you up just one block away from the property. Although challenging, the walk is off the main roads (stairs) and is amazing as you walk through alleys between homes, occasionally locals waving as you pass by. If you want a pool to relax at, there is a public one in town for a small fee for the day. Great place, great people.

My wife and I found and booked this place for our recent trip to the Lake Como area. We love the Menaggio area and this was close to that town. The place is a little hard to find, mainly because neither of our two GPS devices could identify the location given their address. So plan on just calling them when you arrive in Menaggio and it should help save you time. I think they might consider offering a map by email that illustrates how to find it as well.\n\nThe location of this B&B home is up on the hillside above Lake Como about 3.3km northward from the Menaggio town center. Taking a winding road, it doesn't take long to get there. The view from their backyard out over the lake is spectacular! They provide chairs and a table on the lawn to enjoy the view from.\n\nThe room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. It has a table and microwave as well as hot drink makings and equipment. The bed was queen-sized and very comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was adequate and clean, including a shower. There is even a fireplace in the room we had (Green room). One evening after a day of heavy rain, the room felt cool so the owner provided us with firewood and kindling to start a fire, which we enjoyed getting warmed up by, adding more charming atmosphere to our room.\n\nThe breakfasts we had were amazing! The hostess provided us with multiple trays of food brought out to us on the table in the backyard. Pastries, breads, cheese, pudding, fruits, drinks. I am a vegetarian (lacto-ovo) and my wife is vegan, and she accommodated us very well. We had plenty to eat, and the freshly baked pastries were wonderful!\nIf you have a car, then this is a fabulous place to stay near Menaggio. If you are on foot, it may not be the best location as it is not right in town. The host and hostess were friendly and very hospitable. I highly recommend this place for your consideration!

A great B&B with a stunning panoramic view! Beautiful terrace for a super breakfast, it is very quiet and the room is cozy and cool (makes a good night rest possible). The B&B is 3 km from the center of Menaggio, so there is no noise but it is nearby for a perfect espresso or the best ice cream in the world. Again: very romantic room with a large and modern bathroom (better and more complete than most hotel rooms!). I will come back to enjoy it. Very friendly owners!

I stayed here for 2 nights and wished I had stayed more. Piero and Fiamenta were great hosts and were helpful with their suggestions on the nearby places to visit. The highlight of the stay was the outdoor breakfast setup on a sunny and clear day. I selected this place after a lot of research on Como hotels and was so happy with my decision. Highly recommended.

Le Eriche is a fabulous B&B situated in the mountain side village of Plesio above Menaggio on Lake Como. It is a short 5 minute drive into Menaggio. It is not on the shores of the lake, but still offers very good views of the lake and the mountains and is nice and quiet. Perfect for a romantic getaway! It is very well organised and managed by Piero and Fiammetta, who are wonderful hosts. They are attentive but not intrusive. We stayed in the Carmelia Room, which has its own entrance and covered verandah which is a great place to relax, have meals, drink wine and take in the views. The room is well appointed and is spacious enough for two with luggage. The double bed is very comfortable with good quality, clean fresh linen and nice pillows. The en-suite bathroom is spacious and modern and also has nice clean towels etc. Hot water and water pressure is very good. The room is kept exceptionally clean and is cleaned every second day when linen and towels are replaced. Internet is available for free and works very well. The room also has a flat screen TV. It has mostly local TV stations in Italian, but has an English news station. The breakfasts, which are included and served at the time you request, are wonderful. Traditional Italian breakfasts, which for those that don't know can be quite sweet. We read other reviews about this B&B before booking and noted a couple of negative comments about the breakfast. My only comment is that you will not be able to please everyone all the time. We loved the breakfasts. Fiammetta often made the croissants, yoghurt and jams herself. Very nice. We were offered a more savory choice for breakfast which would have included some cold meats etc, but we were content with whatever Fiammetta gave us. Fiammetta is a wonderful host and cook. You can have washing done for a very reasonable price and if you ask you can have a home cooked Italian meal for a very good price too, which is highly recommended. We enjoyed our stay very much. It was exactly what we were looking for, clean, quiet, comfortable, relaxing and of course great views. We hope to return. Cheers!

We stayed in the Camelia room with a wonderful view over the lake. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was served on the terrace at the time you wanted. Piero and Fiammetta are wonderful hosts. We will return when we go back to Lake Como.

We were greeted warmly by Piero and Fiammetta with welcome cocktails on the terrace. This set the tone for our stay with Piero and Fiammetta being extremely hospitable. We stayed in the Camiella room which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The views over the lake are spectacular, a lovely homemade breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake was a great way to begin our Italian road trip. We will definitely return!

We had a wonderful stay in the Camelia Room. Covered terrace overlooking the beautiful Lake Como. Room was comfortable and certainly big enough. Fiammetta makes a great lasagna. She will prepare a pasta dinner at a very reasonable cost. Could not have been any more relaxing being able to have breakfast overlooking the Lake and also drink wine in the evening with an even more romantic nighttime view. Both Piero and Fiammetta are great friendly and efficient hosts. Breakfast served at the time you want and it was simple and good, mostly homemade baked goods, yogurt and preserves/jams.\n\nHope we can make it here again and will certainly recommend it to all of our friends. Be sure to ask for the Camelia room. Recently added on and the covered terrace is great. They can even do laundry for a small fee. We were into our second week of a three week tour and needed to wash some clothes.

To discover Lake Como we chose Menaggio and Le Eriche as our holiday base. This place overlooking the lake offers an unforgettable view in a green setting away from the crowds. We had an exceptional stay at B&B Le Eriche with Piero and Fiammetta who welcomed us very kindly. It's true that we were blessed with the weather this April but the view from the house over Lake Como is incredible and it's truly a rare joy to have breakfast (plentiful and excellent) facing such a panorama. What else to say? The room was perfectly clean and equipped, the garden is beautifully blooming (at least in spring) and the environment is very peaceful. The location is indeed a bit off the beaten path but it's not a problem if you have a vehicle. Highly recommended accommodation.

The view from the room is truly splendid, and the owners welcomed me very well. In addition to breakfast, it is possible to order pasta (delicious) for meals, which was very appreciated in the evening since very few restaurants are open in Menaggio off-season.

We were not disappointed with our choice, we had a very pleasant stay in a magical and quiet setting. The owners are charming, discreet, attentive to everything, always ready to give advice and they also speak French well. The Mimosa room is very quiet, cool, and beautifully decorated. The breakfast is sumptuous with homemade preparations by Fiammetta and the service by Piero. The surrounding villages are very beautiful. The only downside is finding the house the first time. Address highly recommended.

Why rate less than 10 when everything is perfect? The landscapes are paradisiacal, beautifully maintained by a very devoted and friendly couple. Don't change anything.

We stayed in the Camelia room, tastefully decorated and very clean! It has a small covered terrace where you can have breakfast. Fiametta carefully sets the table every morning, you just need to open the shutters and sit facing the Lake while enjoying a wonderful breakfast (well complete to last through the day) with a breathtaking view! Pietro, who speaks French very well, informs you about tips and tricks in the area. The couple is at your disposal whenever you feel the need, but they are discreet enough to give you all the privacy you need. This is very much appreciated! Note: 1) Avoid the pizzas in Menaggio and ask Pietro to guide you to a very good pizzeria, Crème Caramel, in Acquaseria. 2) A very beautiful hike to do up to the Menaggio refuge with a spectacular view of the Lake. 3) Get a "one day pass" ferry ticket and travel as much as you want. Visit by boat from Menaggio the beautiful villages along the Lake. Itinerary advice: Menaggio - Lenno (last stop which will allow you a boat ride of about 1 hour) then return Tremezzo - Bellagio - Varenna. (the last 2 not to be missed!). Idea for romantic trips! Unforgettable weekend! We will return!

Very good welcome, everything is done to make the guest feel comfortable. Excellent breakfast, stunning view of the lake, in nice weather the garden must be pleasant but it may be a bit remote for a first discovery of the lake. Pets (cat) are well received. It is up to you to ensure they do not cause any damage! I will come back.

The house is beautiful and quiet, located on the hill with a splendid view of Lake Como. Menaggio is just a few minutes' drive away (2 km). There were four of us and we had the whole house to ourselves. The Mimosa room is on the ground floor on the hillside (basement), has a kitchenette and a third sleeping option. The Camellia room has a separate entrance and is located on the ground floor. Since this room doesn't get much sunlight, the bed linen was unfortunately a bit damp. In summer it will certainly be pleasant, but in May it was too cold at night, as the heating is turned off from April. However, there were enough blankets and for the three nights we spent there it was okay. Both rooms have access to the terrace, where the breakfast lovingly prepared by Fiammetta is also served. She and her husband Piero were very accommodating. They both live in the same house. We really enjoyed the three days at Le Eriche and definitely recommend this accommodation. If you are looking for peace away from the tourist crowds, appreciate the view, and are not afraid of the steep road (by car), this is the right place!

Super location high above Lake Como, very lovely hosts, very familiar, great garden that can be used, very quiet and idyllic location, you could actually spend the whole day there. Breakfast was good, just a little shortage of butter and bread. Guests with big appetites probably would need to reorder..., very clean apartment, very lovingly furnished, the landlady speaks very good and understandable English, once again a big thank you to Piero for the cactus: -))) highly recommended!

Susi and Martin had the room "Mimosa" with a breathtaking view of Lake Como. The garden with terrace was for our exclusive use, every day we enjoyed our rich breakfast there! The hosts Fiammetta & Piero are very warm and accommodating and also had a great dining recommendation for both of us -> at Albergo Breglia there is excellent traditional Italian cuisine, from appetizers, pizza & pinsa to pasta, meat & fish dishes at moderate prices. We will come back, thank you very much Fiammetta & Piero!

The room offers a breathtaking view. Everything is lovingly furnished and the hosts are very attentive. A fantastic view can be enjoyed from the deck chairs in the small garden. Varied breakfast on the terrace of the room with the best view. The room does not have a proper kitchen, those who want to cook properly should consider the other offer from Piero Fiammata.

Fiametta and Piero are very warm hosts - during breakfast on the terrace every morning we were truly pampered by Fiametta. There was even fresh fruit salad every morning! We stayed in the Mimosa accommodation, which we would definitely book again. We rate this accommodation with 5 stars. Thanks again for the warm hospitality.

Very beautiful rooms decorated with love. A wonderful view from the garden over Lake Como, you could spend hours there. The owners were very courteous and attentive, the breakfast typically Italian but with the possibility of eggs and sausages. Otherwise everything one could want. Fruit salad, juice, coffee, tea. Really great! We will definitely come back!

Beautiful days spent at the most beautiful Lake in the World and with very nice hosts. What more could one want. The weather was exceptional, for which Fiametta and Piero can't do anything. We had a very nice and relaxing holiday at Piero and Fiametta's. Every morning we enjoyed the delicious breakfast, varied and very lovingly prepared, in the garden with a splendid view of the lake. Piero and Fiametta were very friendly hosts and discreetly gave us many good tips and information. So, we say a heartfelt thank you to them for the 6 days.

The property is very charming and delightful. The location above the lake with a wonderful view invites relaxation. The hosts are extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast is excellent and varied, on request a small but fine dinner is also served. Only downside: due to the location, a car is essential.

The landlord couple is extremely kind, helpful, and accommodating. The accommodation is clinically clean and completely met our expectations. The double bed is well-equipped. The breakfast is lovingly prepared. The view is unique. Due to the traffic situation, our arrival time was quite late, so upon request, our landlady prepared a small dinner for us ("thanks again for this"). We can only confirm the website as we were positively surprised in all aspects. - We will be repeat offenders -.

In absolute tranquility, yet not isolated, this B&B is reached via a well-maintained and fairly busy winding road. The view cannot be praised highly enough! The accommodation itself leaves nothing to be desired: the beautifully landscaped and well-kept garden with private terrace, the lovingly and practically furnished rooms, the attentive care - all these are special features that are evidence of the professionalism and individuality of the hosts. Highly recommended, even for older travelers! We ourselves are 70 plus!

From breakfast until late in the evening, you can watch the lake and the weather from the terrace. A unique location of this refuge. And then the friendly and extremely helpful hosts: Piero and Fiammetta Tagliasacchi. They deserve special praise.

We were two at the B&B Le Eriche. The B&B is really perfect. The location was perfect for us too, with a fantastic view over Lake Como. However, to not appear too obvious, we give only 9 points because to reach the center of Menaggio on foot one must walk almost 2 km. The path is still attractive and leads through some stairs, small alleys between beautiful villas and along a stream. By car it takes 5 minutes. It takes about 15 minutes on foot to reach the center and 20-30 minutes back, depending on commitment. Everything else was perfect, in terms of 10 points.

It is in a very good location. We went with our 4-year-old son and he had a great time, surrounded by nature and with spectacular views of the lake. The facilities are in very good condition and the treatment from Fiammetta and Piero was excellent. We would definitely return.

A beautiful B&B, run with love by Fiammetta and Piero, always available and very kind. A secluded place, just above the town of Menaggio, with a breathtaking view of Lake Como. Impeccable cleanliness and a plentiful and very varied breakfast. A place that I absolutely recommend if you are thinking of staying in that area.

We stayed at Le Eriche for 5 days in August and had the Mimosa room. The room was very beautiful, large and very well furnished. The room was cleaned regularly and was very clean. The very good, varied and abundant Italian breakfast was served in the garden with a wonderful view of Lake Como. For breakfast there were always homemade cakes and fruit salad. The view of Lake Como was fantastic. The hosts Fiammetta and Piero were very kind, attentive and helpful. We greatly enjoyed our vacation at Le Eriche and highly recommend this small B&B.

Fiammetta was very kind and warmly welcomed us to her beautiful B&B. I highly recommend it!

We stayed at B&B Le Eriche from September 7th to 10th, 2022, and I must say that we greatly appreciated the tranquility of the place combined with a spectacular panorama as the structure overlooks Lake Como. From the room, you can go out and have breakfast or sunbathe on your own lakeside veranda. All around, there is so much green in the garden that the owners told us they planted entirely themselves and then watched grow over time. Also worth mentioning is the breakfast brought by the hosts Piero and Fiammetta 'at home' at the desired time, with homemade details like yogurt and freshly made fruit salad, abundant and well-crafted in style and variety. In short, when there is pride in one's work and passion for what is offered to the guest, the results are evident, and the desire to return on our part is naturally consequent. Lastly, the presence of the hosts is never intrusive, despite being available and being convivial and willing to engage in pleasant conversations only at the request of the guests.

Excellent B&B from all points of view. Recommended.

The B&B Le Eriche, where we spent three days in mid-August 2021, surprised us beyond our already very high expectations, given the excellent reviews, more than deserved. In addition to a breathtaking lake view and spacious, bright, well-furnished and very comfortable room and bathroom (in addition to air conditioning there is also a small fridge, kettle, coffee machine and microwave so we could prepare our dinner), we had at our disposal a small porch with table and chairs, where in the morning an excellent and abundant breakfast is served (including 0 km scrambled eggs, homemade yogurt and jams and many other sweet and savory delicacies) and a lawn with two wooden sunbeds overlooking the lake. Furthermore, a very pleasant surprise was the proximity of the bus stop connecting Plesio to Menaggio from where ferries and boats depart. This way we did not have to move the car with great savings of time, money, and stress given the shortage of parking in Menaggio. However, what truly makes the stay at Le Eriche unforgettable are Fiammetta and Piero who with their caring yet never intrusive manner and their exquisite friendliness immediately won our hearts so we can't wait to come back and relax in their corner of paradise.

The bed and breakfast "Le Eriche" offers a breathtaking view of Lake Como and the "Camelia" room, where we stayed, is tastefully and carefully furnished in every detail, perfect for a romantic couple's vacation. Waking up and enjoying the view of the lake and the surrounding greenery, while savoring a great breakfast in the garden, represented a magnificent experience for us in a unique place. The stay at B&B Le Eriche was simply fantastic. Spacious, cozy, and very clean room, not to mention the breathtaking view of the lake and the Grigne mountains that you can enjoy from the patio where breakfast is served. Fiammetta and Piero, the owners, were very helpful and ready to respond to any request. We couldn't have asked for more.

A fabulous place, B&B Le Eriche by Fiammetta and Piero, absolutely recommended. A place where you can really unwind. My husband and I spent 4 days in absolute tranquility. From the house, you can see a breathtakingly beautiful view! Excellent cleanliness, breakfast, and above all the kindness of the hosts Fiammetta and Piero.

The view takes your breath away, the availability, kindness, and professionalism of the owners, the meticulous cleaning of the room, the goodness and variety of the breakfast. If you are looking for all this, do not hesitate for a moment and book. You will almost regret leaving the B&B Le Eriche even for a few hours to visit the beauties of Lake Como.

We spent three fantastic days in this family-run B&B. The "Camelia" room has a fantastic view of the lake. On sunny days, with breakfast served on the outdoor veranda, it feels like being in an enchanted place. Excellent breakfast, jams, pastries, and cookies all homemade. The room is perfect, very clean, and with brand new furniture. Just a few kilometers from Switzerland. Everything is perfect? No, unfortunately not, the only problem is that the vacation lasted only three days. We will definitely return.

The B&B was very much to our liking, both for the structure and for the location. We stayed in the Camelia room, tastefully furnished, clean and with a very spacious bathroom. Breakfast was served to us on the veranda with an invaluable view of Lake Como. The owners, Fiammetta and Piero, were very kind and made us feel at ease right away. Highly recommended.

We sincerely hope to return. We had two magnificent days. The location of the structure is panoramic, with a beautiful lake view that leaves you enchanted. Relaxing, everything is very tidy, even the garden surrounding the house is well-kept. The room we occupied, "Camelia", is very welcoming, with a double bed, spacious bathroom, furnished with care and elegance in the details, excellent cleanliness. We were welcomed with kindness and hospitality by the owners Piero and Fiammetta, making us feel at ease. Excellent and abundant breakfast, served in the garden area, with genuine products, prepared by Mrs. Fiammetta. Try it to believe it.

Abundant breakfast with homemade cakes from Fiammetta. The Mimosa room is very nice, all full of green color. Very comfortable bed and soft sheets. Everything you need is available and the hosts make you feel welcome. Very willing to give you information. We felt pampered, but never intrusive, indeed. Highly recommended.
