Perfect stop if you like being with the locals. It is a little bit like camping, with an outdoor kitchen, but has a perfect room and a luxury bathroom. The view is spectacular and the host is very friendly and helpful.

BB extremely comfortable like at home. Very well equipped to prepare meals. Everything is available, fridge and hotplates. The start of the Calore gorges circuit is located very close to the accommodation. We stayed one more night because we felt so comfortable. Equipped with mosquito nets and a very relaxing garden area. The owner is really attentive. Shops in the village. Thanks again for this stay! Brigitte and Rémi.

Terrace, garden and a breathtaking panoramic view of the Monti Alburni, vineyards and surrounding villages were simply charming - and my stay ended up being twice as long as originally planned. A cozy atmosphere to relax and enjoy in peace. In June, for example, with the fresh wild strawberries from the garden. A few steps away, there is a fig tree. Homemade jam from the fruits was served for breakfast. Breakfast? This is provided by Ermelando (the owner of the B&B) according to guests' wishes and is left in the small kitchen. The wooden table on the covered terrace is a perfect spot for breakfast. A place that also offered wonderful sunsets during dinner and in the morning is the first place to step out of the room. The mountain panorama can even be seen from the bed in one of the two rooms. The house and garden are designed with attention to detail, simplicity and natural materials that convince. The terraced garden offers plenty to explore. Occasionally, a few cute cats come to visit. The wonderful days I spent at 'Il Rifugio del Calore' are also thanks to the great host Ermelando. The encounters with the extremely friendly residents of Felitto will stay in my memory for a long time. Felitto is not only a charming village with a medieval core, winding alleys and fantastic views of the surrounding countryside, but also a good starting point for excursions in the area. The Gole del Calore (Calore Gorge) are certainly the classic for light hikes and are right on the doorstep. But Laurino or Piaggine were also worth seeing destinations (with hiking opportunities) and easily accessible even without a car. Buses depart from the central Piazza, just a two-minute walk from the B&B. Tickets can be purchased at the bar and at the tobacconist, and there are also direct connections to Salerno. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, felt extremely comfortable at 'Il Rifugio del Calore' and hope to come back soon. I would have liked to take the garden and the view, as well as the village atmosphere, with me immediately.

Abandon all hope ye who do not know the sweetness, the tenderness, the true smiles of people, the silence and the beauty of nature, the gentle sound of water flowing in the gorges, of affections in a glance and in a friendly word, in the embrace of a goodbye. Abandon all hope ye who cannot see poetry in a cherry, in a blade of grass, in the morning cakes, in the hands of Tonia making them and in the eyes of Ermelando looking at them confidently in the incomprehensible magic. And then the poetry of the starry night sky to get lost in after a plate of fusilli with meat sauce. Abandon all hope, because the Refuge of Warmth is a Paradise where the only sin is the end of the vacation... Thank you guys for your... Warmth! See you soon.

For those who love spending time among valleys and mountains where time flows much more slowly and quietly, this is a place to discover, experience, and listen to at any time. Felitto is an extraordinary place, out of this world but inhabited by people who make you feel included in a community, even if you are just passing through. Ermelando, our host, is one of them: he welcomed us as if we were friends, gave us advice on how to get around, provided a safe shelter for our bikes, and offered his fig jam for breakfast. We will definitely come back.
