In the heart of the green hills of the Marche region, the Agriturismo Alla Vecchia Quercia is located in Pergola, at the foot of Mount Catria, surrounded by a landscape of vast pastures and woods. This facility is the result of a careful restoration of an ancient village by the Metzler Meyer family, who chose to move to this corner of paradise in 1999. The apartments, housed in historic stone houses, are tastefully furnished and offer a welcoming and practical environment, ideal for families or couples seeking tranquility.
The agriturismo includes an organic farm that spans about 20 hectares, where olive groves, fruit orchards, and gardens are cultivated. With around 1400 olive trees and a variety of animals living nearby, including Cinta Senese pigs, cherry tomatoes, Appennine sheep, and rabbits, guests can immerse themselves in an authentic and sociable experience. The honey production from our bees further enriches the offerings, bringing genuine and high-quality raw materials to the table.
Relaxation is guaranteed thanks to the swimming pool, which offers a panoramic view of Pergola, where guests can refresh themselves after a day spent outdoors. The surrounding area invites long hikes on foot, by bike, or on horseback, with trails winding through the beauty of the Marche nature. The tranquility of the village, far from traffic, makes this destination particularly suitable for families.
Every morning, guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast featuring homemade products such as bread, jam, and honey, served on the terrace during the summer, further enriching the stay experience with a delightful view. Although no restaurant service is offered, the Metzler Meyer family is always available to recommend local restaurants for a culinary discovery of Marche specialties.
Alla Vecchia Quercia represents not only a tourist destination but a refuge where culture, nature, and relaxation intertwine, offering visitors an unforgettable stay in the heart of the Marche Apennines.
