La Locandiera is my small jem, it is a charming and welcoming B&B in Florence city of art, a place rich in archaeological sites UNESCO world heritage, located in the heart of the city near Santa Maria Novella Station, just 10 minutes walking from the Duomo, an historic building where past and present blend into a unique mix to ensure maximum comfort. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the colors and lights of the shopping streets to appreciate and buy the products of local artisans, to build delicious food and wine routes through which to discover traditions and cultures, to follow cultural events and exhibitions, immerse yourself in the quiet of lush gardens and beautiful landscapes.

A short distance from the property you will find examples of our Florentine heritage and various tourist attractions. In particular, the Basilica of Santa Maria Novella is only 370 mt away.

La Locandiera is the ideal location for all traveling families who will feel at home here, but also for those traveling for business or for a dream holiday in a romantic and discreet environment.

The 5 rooms at your disposal are all very welcoming, tastefully furnished and without excess, a warm parquet overhangs the entire room and the large windows provide a beautiful natural light. In every room you will find a breakfast table where to eat meals in the privacy of your room. Each room is equipped with a mini fridge with a complimentary bottle of water, electric kettle and tray with wide choice of Twinings Tea, Twinings Infusions and Nescafé Coffee. Each room has a private marble or gray marble bathroom with shower, complete with everything you might need.

Every morning I will give you the good morning with a delicious breakfast I bring in your room at a time of your choice between 8 am to 10 am offering croissants of pastry and a wide variety of sweet and salty.

During your stay I will always be at your disposal to advise you on the monuments to visit, the parks where you can relax and where to surprise you with a wonderful view of the city. I can advise you where to eat a good Florentine or an excellent ice cream, I can book tours and guided tours, and especially book tickets for museums to avoid being queued hours and hours. In short, if you let me drive you, I can help you spend fantastic days in Florence.. !!
My goal is to make you feel at home with the only aim of making your stay unforgettable in the wonderful Florence, bringing home precious memories of the city and the satisfaction of having chosen the right place..!

Cancellation conditions (except for non-refundable rates)

You may cancel your booking up to 7 days before the check-in date. In the case of failure to show or late cancellation, you will be charged a penalty of 50% of the total cost of the booking

Payment terms

Balance to be paid at check-in
For non-refundable discounted rates, when the facility requires it, the guest must pay in advance as indicated to complete the booking. Payment is not refunded in the event of a cancellation.

Check-in times are from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, so we would like to inform you that La Loc Bandiera does not have a night porter, so if you already know you will arrive after 19:00 you are kindly requested to contact me immediately when booking to be able to organize check-in together, alternatively I will not be able to guarantee the possibility of accessing the b & b. We, therefore, ask for your cooperation and courtesy in letting us know your arrival time in advance.

Location is very close to train station and within walking distance to major tourist sights... Breakfasts very good- great delicious warm croissants, meats, cheeses, yogurts, fruits. Shower stall was small. Our host Silvia arranged for car to pick us up from airport and allowed us to leave luggage after checkout a few hours before we needed to catch train.

We highly recommend La Locandiera! Room was spacious for 3 people, we were given a menu for breakfast and gave us option to select time we would like it served, it was very fresh, was excellent! Very close to the train station and a nice walk to all. A huge thank you to Silvia, she was so helpful spoke very well english. A very kind person! she will go the extra mile to help you as much as she can. We will definitely go back! Grazie mille Silvia per tutto!

Ho trascorso un fine settimana di lavoro e piacere con mia figlia, consiglio questo Bed-And-Breakfast per vari motivi: 1) la struttura si trova in una posizione strategica, vicinissima alla stazione, vicina alla Fortezza, vicina al centro. 2) struttura nuova con arredamento semplice e raffinato. 3) ottimo rapporto di qualità e prezzo. 4) gentilezza, simpatia e disponibilità di Silvia, la padrona di casa.. ah stavo per dimenticare pulito.

Tutto pulitissimo e profumato, la signora è gentilissima, le camere sono ariose con soffitti alti e ben strutturate. Colazione in camera con puntualità teutonica e con vasta scelta. Ci siamo trovati benissimo e lo consigliamo di certo.

Bed and Breakfast delizioso, situato a pochi metri dalla Stazione di Firenze e dal centro. La titolare vi farà sentire subito a vostro agio, è gentilissima e molto disponibile. La colazione è buona e abbondante, viene servita in camera all'orario da voi indicato nel menù (una comodità non da poco). Lo consiglio caldamente, in quanto se dovessi ritornare a Firenze sceglierei indubbiamente di alloggiare nuovamente in questa struttura!

Arrivare in stazione da sola e raggiungere in pochi minuti il bed & breakfast, trovare subito qualcuno che mi aspettava e che mi ha accolta mostrandomi la camera, fornita di tutti i comfort che mi erano stati descritti, è stato rassicurante. La camera con bagno, sky, wifi, bollitore era così confortevole che era un piacere rincasare la sera dopo una lunga giornata di cammino. Anche la colazione e l'orario che mi era data la possibilità di scegliere la sera precedente, mi veniva portata in camera molto gentilmente e sempre puntuale. La proprietaria era a disposizione per qualsiasi cosa, mi ha fornito una cartina indicandomi anche le strade da percorre per raggiungere le attrazioni turistiche; mi sono sempre spostata a piedi senza bisogno di utilizzare i mezzi perché il bed & breakfast si trova a pochi passi dalla chiesa "Santa Maria Novella".

Area Santa Maria Novella

Our location is Santa Maria Novella neighborhood, very close to the central railway station, called S. M. N Florence (Santa Maria Novella), here comes the most trains from every part of Italy and from abroad. Our central location is ideal for those who decide to arrive by train, given the proximity you can come first to leave your luggage at the reception without having to lug them to the streets made of cobbled all along the Old Town. Also if you need you can use the nearby taxis rank and buses. For those of you who has to attend a conference or a major exhibition we are very close to the Palazzo dei Congressi and to the Palazzo degli Affari, and of course very close to the Fortezza da Basso, home of the major events such as craft shows (Mostra dell’Artigianato) or Pitti Immagine.
Also in addition to the beautiful monumental Church of Santa Maria Novella and its cloisters, you will find the Chiesa di Ognissanti and the famous Farmacia di Santa Maria Novella, full of history and typical and exclusive fragrances of Florence.
The Duomo is within walking distance from the station in 10 minutes as well as the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. In the Santa Maria Novella area are also situated some kind of the best restaurant in town for pizza or for the TBone stick, (I will be very pleased to help to discover all of them) and also many pubs and clubs which especially in summer are full of young people from all over the world. Just outside the station, past the McDonald's you will find Piazza dell’Unità Italiana and continuing crossing it diagonally across you will arrive easily in San Lorenzo, famous for the beautiful church of San Lorenzo and also for the market of the same name where you can find objects of any kind made of how this area craftsmanship and you can also visit the central market, where besides buying vegetables and fresh fruit, on the first floor you can also enjoy a lunch and a dinner out of the ordinary!
