What does sustainable Bed and Breakfast mean?
It means respecting the principles of sustainable tourism and, in general, of sustainable development. It means to acknowledge that tourism is ambivalent, since it can contribute positively to socio- economic and cultural achievement, while at the same time it can contribute to the degradation of the environment and the loss of local identity. It means awareness of the worth of our natural and cultural heritage and, in consequence, acting for its conservation, protection and appreciation.

Here at Novecento Bed and Breakfast we pride ourselves on maintaining a healthy respect for our environment. We have bicycles on hand for you to explore, to really know the place you are in, obviously free of charge. We make our best to minimize the impact on the environment of our Bed and Breakfast, avoiding waste of water and electricity. We decided not to have air conditioning in our rooms, because we think that ceiling mounted fans, shadow and sea breeze, always present in the city, are enough. We acknowledge the importance of local economy, culture and traditions and, in our Bed and Breakfast, we use local products to serve breakfast.

We love animals too and are particularly fond of dogs. We think it's nice to extend hospitality to your four-legged friend, so we invested in individual open-air roofed boxes for dogs of every size.

I spent here a great vacation with my mom. Everything was good: the host is friendly and always attentive to guests, answered all our questions about the accommodation and the city. The rooms are cozy and clean, there is everything I needed except for an iron (I asked for it personally). The house is nice and very atmospheric! I really liked it a lot. There are good breakfasts every morning with local food: milk, cheese, butter, snacks, bread, coffee, fruit. If you have such a meal in the morning, you don't need to eat until midday. The city center can be reached within a 20-minute walk or a few stops by public transport. The place is also friendly to vegetarian people, as I understood. Thank you very much!

The Novecento B&B is a place I will never forget, largely in part to its kind and friendly owner and the things that staying there allowed me to experience. I would recommend Novecento for many reasons. One friend even changed the place he was staying on his first night in Trapani to the Novecento. He has told me that it was a good decision. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the location means exploring on foot or by bicycle (provided) is possible with ease. Breakfast was always a feast, with plenty to go around. There is a good atmosphere in this place. I am grateful for having stayed here.

Our host was very accommodating, made many suggestions for our outings, and we had a great conversation. The room and the accommodation were very spacious and charmingly furnished. The way to the center was not far (also, there are buses), the trip to the northern beach of Trapani was very nice, the hike to Erice was wonderful, the excursion to the salt pans was interesting, we liked everything very much.

Ignazio was an exceptional host, always in contact with us when we needed. The stay was very pleasant, in our case we had a shared bathroom, there were 2 and they were super clean, and they were never occupied. We were very comfortable so I would recommend the accommodation to other people.

The drains of the sinks and showers need to be checked more carefully; the water drains slowly. I found the location excellent because it was close to my relatives' home.

In quella notte, a causa della consueta e spiacevole situazione legata ai botti, abbiamo preferito tenere i cani in casa con noi, per poterli sorvegliare e confortare. La terrazza, essendo ampia, è rimasta comunque accessibile, e ci dispiace se l’utilizzo di un angolo della stessa da parte dei cani vi ha causato disagio. Ci teniamo a sottolineare che reti e materassi sono stati recentemente sostituiti, e che la doccia è perfettamente funzionante. Avremmo apprezzato maggiormente ricevere le vostre osservazioni di persona durante il soggiorno, così da poter comprendere meglio le vostre esigenze e intervenire tempestivamente dove necessario. Considerando che la struttura è anche la nostra abitazione, siamo sempre disponibili per confrontarci con i nostri ospiti e garantire loro un’esperienza piacevole.

We had a good time at the structure. The room was large, with access to the terrace. The cleanliness of the environments was good, the manager Ignazio was very kind and prompt in responding to requests. There is a common room with a refrigerator and microwave. The location is a bit decentralized but outside the structure's door, there is a bus stop for the center. I definitely recommend it.

Novecento Rooms is a sincere place managed with great care by Ignazio, a super friendly and helpful person who gave us advice on both culinary and cultural aspects of the city. Our room, which was very tidy and clean, was spacious and well-lit, with original wooden furnishings and tiled floors, welcoming us into the Trapani atmosphere. The bus service that takes you to the historic center of Trapani is also convenient, and the shuttle that goes directly to Birgi-Florio airport stops eight minutes on foot from the property. I absolutely recommend staying in this place, as if I were to return to Trapani I would not hesitate to choose this beloved place again.

In the booking confirmation, it was not specified that the room did not have a private bathroom. It was a bad surprise, especially considering that the cleanliness left much to be desired. Strongly discouraged.

Wonderful location to experience true Sicilian life (we took the Titta with terrace access, enjoying pleasant summer evenings with a pizza or a drink). The room had every comfort and, thanks to the fan, we did not suffer from the heat (so the absence of air conditioning is not a problem at all). On the second day of our stay, the towels were changed and the room was cleaned. The owner is very kind and helpful (we needed a bottle opener and just had to ask). The common room is equipped with a microwave and fridge, however, there are no dishes, cups, or cutlery of any kind. Free rental bikes are available with a deposit of €25 each. The bikes could be useful if you don't want to walk or take public transport, however, we also enjoyed moving around on foot as the surrounding area is well provided with supermarkets, bars, bus stops, cable cars, etc. I would say it is the perfect location if you want to be close to the city center and the sea, but not too close. 100% positive experience!

When I can, I travel a lot and mostly for pleasure... \nOn this occasion, I stayed for a few days in a double room to visit the enchanting places of those areas for the thousandth time. \nThe b&b is located in a convenient area with bars, supermarkets, shops, bakeries, restaurants, pizzerias, all at reasonable costs. \nTo reach the center, you have to take a nice walk... for the laziest, just take the car (parked comfortably and free under the b&b) and the way to the center is easily accessible because it's all straight. \nThe room cleaning was remarkable, a bit less for the chairs and tables available on the terrace... plus, the structure does not offer any possibility to hang towels or wet things. \nThe owner, Ignazio, was kind and courteous, and our requests were promptly fulfilled, like extra pillows and the hairdryer that is not in the room, a small mistake that can be forgiven given the overall experience that can be considered pleasant. \nThe room did not have air conditioning, but a ventilation at the roof, comfortable for those with neck problems. \nPersonal thought that is not a criticism, the b&b seems to lack a feminine touch... flowers, colors, paintings or small things like a drying rack or a simple glass to heat water or milk since there is a microwave. In conclusion, the overall stay was flattering in a way that doesn't let you be obsessed by minor and irrelevant details.

Novecento is a Bed and Breakfast with a solid tradition behind it, dedicated to respecting animals and the environment. Opened in 2005, it has always followed the principles of responsible tourism, seeking to minimize its ecological footprint. For this reason, it does not offer air conditioning but ceiling fan cooling, a rich and complete vegetarian buffet breakfast (vegan upon request), hosts animals for free, provides complimentary bicycle rentals to its guests, and adopts a series of measures to eliminate water and energy waste.

We stayed at this property for three nights and had a great time. The room was very spacious and clean, a shared living room like the bathroom. Excellent breakfast with fresh and varied products, every morning fresh fruit, jams and a great Castelvetrano bread, all accompanied by jazz music. Thanks to the owner, a lovely, discreet and kind person. Absolutely recommended.
