Lovely, clean place about a 15-minute drive from Stresa. Beautiful views over Lake Maggiore. Nice running and walking route from the house. The hosts are lovely (great scrambled eggs in the morning!). Clean and modern room with nice extras like tea and coffee, a mini fridge, and a mini safe. You do need a car as there are no restaurants within walking distance. Parking is easy. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Great place to stay! About 10 minutes from Stresa, so it was nice and quiet but also close to attractions. Hosts were so nice and had great recommendations for things to do and restaurants in the area. Place was very clean and breakfast was included.

The breakfast was superb and the owners always present at your service. They are a very nice couple with their son. Great stay, very comfortable room, the hosts are very welcoming and kind, full of good advice for visits and restaurants nearby. The breakfast is also up to the room's standard. The scrambled eggs are very good. Not to mention the very enjoyable jacuzzi after a day spent walking to visit the Borromean Islands. We will gladly return to Il Folletto del Lago and recommend it to our friends.

I won't comment on the rooms but the apartment they rent a few meters from the main house, which is very good with the garage for the car, the apartment is very good, large bedroom a good-sized living room and a large bathroom. The owners are really very nice, Giorgia took the time to show us what to do in the area the best restaurants And answer on WhatsApp for any information. The hosts are really top notch! The accommodation is located a bit uphill from Stresa in a very nice little village with its very lively bar at all hours a real place of life. The hosts had left us everything we needed for breakfast had provided us with lots of cakes, sliced bread, biscuits etc etc...and filled the fridge with yogurt ham and fruit juices and a ticket per person for each day to go eat a croissant and drink a coffee or cappuccino at the village bar which is 30 seconds walk away! The village is well located to go down to the lake and really not far by car. Great address I don't regret at all! Thanks to Giorgia and Andrea.

Amazing place! Clean, in a location away from the chaos, we had access to a garden with a sauna and a hot tub! In the room, there was a kettle with herbal teas, water, and beer with chips for a welcome aperitif! Comfortable bed and pillows, large bathroom... everything gets a score of 10! The hosts are kind, helpful, they pointed out places to see that we were not aware of, and a great restaurant for dinner! Right outside, we had a fountain with delicious fresh water! We will definitely return!

Wonderful place, the perfect destination to relax. Welcoming, clean accommodation run by 2 very friendly hosts. Everything is decorated in a theme, even with various wooden furniture, but everything is extremely clean. Bathroom with new sink, shower, and bidet, very clean. Plenty of towels available. The garden with the hot tub and loungers is wonderful, there is also a sauna but we didn't have time to try it. The breakfast is truly abundant, there is a buffet with any type of product, from sweets, yogurt, savory pie, etc. The hosts also offer to prepare eggs on the spot, in addition to hot beverages. The location is strategic for the whole area: it's not in the center but allows for easy access and enjoying the view. Furthermore, it is really very close to the best restaurants with a view of Lake Maggiore, which are 5 minutes away by car. The car can be parked easily on the street, just under the house: you only walk for a minute with the luggage. The hosts are always available for any indication or suggestion. We will definitely return in the future to explore new beauties of Lake Maggiore.

The structure is very intimate and has a romantic atmosphere. The room is very clean, has everything you need. There is a well-kept outdoor space where you can enjoy a sauna and they also have a jacuzzi for relaxation. The very young owners are extremely kind and ready to recommend restaurants and all activities to do. We stayed for a weekend and we will definitely come back! Thank you.

We chose this enchanting place to spend two days in tranquility and discover the wonders of Lake Maggiore. I must say we hit the mark! The structure is beautiful and very close to the center of Stresa and the main attractions of the area. Andrea, who welcomed us with kindness and a big smile, made us feel at home immediately. The room is a gem of elegance and hospitality, perfectly in line with the rest of the structure: small but well-kept in detail, clean and equipped with every comfort. Outside, in the beautiful season, there is a hot tub and a relaxation area with deck chairs and a lovely outdoor space. In the morning, breakfast is served in the room with fresh products and a buffet (in the room!) with anything you could desire. Upon arrival, there is a welcome drink, a kettle with tea and herbal teas, and a well-stocked mini-fridge... What more could you ask for? We were pampered and spoiled. If you want to visit Lake Maggiore, you cannot miss resting in this enchanting corner of paradise.

We stayed at the B&B Il Folletto del Lago for a week, basically our honeymoon! Giorgia and Andrea, a magnificent couple of managers and exquisite people in every way. Unfortunately, the current situation did not help them offer everything they would have liked: from the buffet breakfast to the whirlpool tub and finally the sauna, but, while respecting the rules, they pampered us from our arrival until our departure, so much so that we booked for next month! We were kindly welcomed by Andrea, he was waiting for us on the street. We stayed in the Guesthouse a short distance from the B&B, there was a garage where we could park our car. From the garage our luggage was brought up with the elevator really awesome. Once in the guesthouse Andreas took all the time to explain everything in the house to us. Due to Corona, there is no extensive breakfast at the B&B but we were given vouchers for breakfast in the village (very nice). We would like to highly recommend this B&B and will definitely return ourselves. Beautiful place in a lovely location with super sweet people. A solid 10.
