The Castello B&B is a hidden gem found within the heart of the mid Valcamonica area. During my week-long stay there, the attentive hotel staff took all steps to make me feel comfortable and right at home. They even went out of their way to offer me several vegan options to accommodate my strict diet without any hassle. This charming family-operated establishment is an ideal location to seek the enigmatic Valcamonica petroglyphs, nature trails, and a medieval castle/fortress known as Il Castello di Cimbergo which gives you a 360° view of the mid Valcamonica area and its close proximity to the snow-topped Alpine mountains. You will often be greeted by the friendly local residents in this area who are proud of their Camunian culture and their artisan crafts. If you're an avid hiker or a nature/bird lover, there are several good nature trails in the vicinity. A note about getting around: the local Bonomi bus/transit system is available from Monday to Saturday but has limited service hours during those days and there are no taxis available anywhere within this area. It is best to have a vehicle to get around the Valcamonica area, especially if you plan to visit its various petroglyphs and other important archaeological sites and museums. I stayed from Saturday to Sunday, and next time I would like to stay longer. The property has been recently renovated in a very fine way and in a characteristic mountain style, a lot of wood but designed. The kitchen is excellent, absolutely worth trying, the managers are very kind and knowledgeable, they make you feel welcomed and at home. Absolutely highly recommended.

The B&B is very nice, new with an excellent breakfast. The pizzeria is also very good. The only negative note is that unfortunately the rooms are located right above the restaurant and are not soundproof at all. We happened to be there on Saturday night and in the restaurant there were entire tables of 30 people celebrating a birthday, needless to say that until 1 a.m. we did not close our eyes due to the shouts of those celebrating. What a pity! We were looking for a quieter place to relax and rest.

The bed and breakfast is located in a beautiful place near the castle of Cimbergo from where you can see a splendid panorama. The structure, despite being in a mountain village, is renovated and very welcoming. The rooms are clean and nothing is missing, all new, fixtures, flooring. On the ground floor there is a bar and the restaurant-pizzeria where you can eat very well, both the pizza and the dishes on the menu. Also, communication with the manager was simple and fast. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast, I would return.
