We had a wonderful stay at Masseria Macchiarola. The property is beautiful, full of authentic charm, and very well maintained. Everything was spotlessly clean, both in the rooms and in the common areas, which made us feel comfortable right away. The location is peaceful and rural, perfect for relaxing, yet still close enough to explore the Ionian coast and nearby villages, though a car is definitely needed. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready with helpful tips and genuinely caring about our experience. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh local products and homemade touches that made every morning special. Considering the quality, service, and atmosphere, the value for money was excellent. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in Puglia.

The autumn was friendly and nice. The rooms were big and clean, but unfortunately the furniture at the terrace were not cleaned. The breakfast was very large and tasted really good, with yogurt, focaccia, cake, milk and juice. The swimming pool was not opened for the season, yet.

A nice place to stay, with a beautiful room. The pool and ping pong table were great. The manager is very sweet and adapted our breakfast to our liking and cooked us a delicious meal, overcoming the language barrier. The closest town is not very exciting but the Masseria Macchiarola is close to many vineyards and beaches, and is nice to relax at.

Our short stay at Masseria Macchiarola was such a nice time. The host was very friendly and hospitable. She made an amazing dinner for us on the first night and we got to taste all the wines that her brother-in-law makes. He is a natural winemaker and definitely something to ask about. These wines have the same name as the agriturismo. The pool is lovely and with a car, the beautiful beaches are very nearby. Overall, absolutely a place to visit again and I would recommend it to anyone.

We had a great time. The owners are kind people who are attentive to every need. The rooms are spacious and clean, the property is 5 minutes from the sea and 2 minutes from the town of Lizzano. Relaxing vacation.

The structure is managed by Marika and Anna Maria, who are always available to accommodate our small additional requests. The quiet location in the Apulian countryside is to be appreciated. The convivial area outside the rooms is very nice for spending evenings in the company of other guests of the residence. The sea, very beautiful and still quite wild, is only a 10-minute drive away (Marina di Lizzano). Taranto is about half an hour by car and there are several nice towns to visit nearby (Pulsano, Manduria...). The parking is very convenient. The breakfast, different every day, is served outside the room, in its own space in front. You feel a bit like at home.

In the span of a month, we returned twice. The peace and tranquility that this place transmits to me are amazing. The owners of the property are very kind and super helpful in making the stay at the property perfect. The rooms are spacious, bright, and well-furnished, complete with bathroom linen and a hairdryer. Personally, I would recommend having a form filled out at check-in or at the time of booking with the time and what you would like for breakfast, whether it be toasted bread with jam, croissants, milk, etc. However, the homemade pastries and focaccia that we found at breakfast were really good. I strongly recommend this little hidden gem to anyone who wants to enjoy some quiet days away from the city and the frenzy of the Apulian beaches. We will be back soon.

To say that we have spent three nights at Masseria Macchiarola is an understatement, the three days spent at the property have represented a unique experience seasoned with the most genuine and spontaneous hospitality. Masseria Macchiarola is very welcoming, the owners are helpful and courteous; we were advised by them in every aspect, from restaurants to the most beautiful seaside locations. We spent pleasant time conversing about ourselves, them, and the surrounding area. The location is strategic because, in fact, it is 20 minutes from the well-known 'punta prosciutto' of Porto Cesareo (however, I would strongly recommend trusting their advice to choose the seaside locations) as well as 20 minutes from beautiful Taranto. Furthermore, Masseria Macchiarola is connected to the exquisite wine cellar, Tenuta Macchiarola, where it is possible to taste products vinified according to natural methods; this experience, as well as being suggested, is recommended. Domenico and his passion for natural wine will guide most in the discovery of true Apulian wines (and a different way of drinking). To say that we will return is implied, to say that we will return as soon as possible is certain. As the title says, it was truly a way to feel at home. In Puglia, it will undoubtedly be our future point of reference.

This year for the first time my wife and I decided to spend our holidays in a bed and breakfast, our choice was spot on! Masseria Macchiarola is located surrounded by beautiful olive groves and vineyards, the location is excellent being just a few kilometers from the sea and Lizzano, which avoids traffic and crowds usually found everywhere in August. From this location, you can easily reach the most beautiful attractions in southern Puglia, we opted for Alberobello, Gallipoli, and Manduria. In any beach we visited, the water was crystal clear and easily accessible by car. Our room (mini apartment) was very clean and had a very large terrace with a beautiful gazebo and a table where we could have lunch or dinner without any problems. The breakfast is abundant with a lot of choices and the presence of a coffee machine with pods was very useful. The room had an air conditioner that worked impeccably, and a positive note was the presence of very few mosquitoes, all rooms are also protected with mosquito nets. A very positive note was the daily presence of the owners, always available and with whom we could spend time in a very cheerful and carefree way. What can I say, we were satisfied with our choice and we are sure that next year we will return to them to spend another beautiful vacation!

Charming place immersed in greenery managed by Domenico and Annamaria, who immediately made us feel at home. They produce excellent organic wines. The rooms are spacious, clean, and we found everything necessary for our 1-year-old baby! Absolutely recommended.
