Good location and wonderful host. Breakfasts were delicious. The room was lovely, comfortable bed and bedding. Clean bathroom. I would suggest the hangers in the closet be replaced with uniform easier hangers to use (the hangers were 4 different sizes and too many). The chair by the window is old and could be removed. Floor edges need to be scrubbed and fresh paint in some areas. Overall nice.

This was a wonderful find. We enjoyed Bologna very much and this property was excellent and an incredible value. Our host, Roberto, was brilliant and very chatty and helpful. He's a lovely guy and you can tell he has a long history in the industry and he was very flexible. The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. We found the Bed and Breakfast very quiet, perfect for sleeping. The thick walls repel sound. Breakfast was plentiful and Roberto had great recommendations for dinner. The price was outstanding - there were a lot of expensive hotels available but this was very very affordable, clean, and a real gem. I'd absolutely stay here again. The only thing to watch out for is it’s about a 25-minute walk to the train station (a 5-7 minute taxi ride) but it was no problem for us. If you are reading this then you've already found the right place to book. It’s wonderful. This really helped make our holiday wonderful. We loved Bologna.

A little far from the station - when we left on Sunday the taxi cost 18 euros, on the way there only 9.50 euros, not sure if something to do with Sunday or ripped off. Accommodation however is close walking to main attractions. Rooms are quaint - a little dated. Nice touches like wine and sweets in the rooms. Very good location - lots of restaurants nearby and sightseeing. Would have been nice to have a choice of breakfast (I actually cannot eat bread but was only offered this each day) not have it served to our room - other guests sat at the table and could choose.

Dear Guests , Dear Mrs. Rosemary........far from the station???? was easy to find some location and properties close to Bologna Centrale Train Station with Google Maps.....before booking with us. or not? Breakfast in your room due to covid period.....just for distancing....we cannot stay all together close in same sitting room or living room....easy to understand.....yes really....you find in your room a bottle of local wine: COMPLIMENTARY....A frest Fruits basket every day: complimentary.....every day cleaning service with change sheets, towels....for a very cheap rate....as you know....and sweets....that we never found travelling in your country, sorry......and we UPGRADE you with a DELUXE DOUBLE BED ROOM , large ( 35 mq) and lightly that you will never find easily all over the world, at this rate.........anyway, we are pleased that you spent 3 lovely days in Bologna. ....please, next time, instead of complaining with position....check with Google maps before booking OR mention that with us ( and you could transfer to another property ) instead writing that after your check out....Best Regards......Agostino

My wife and I loved staying for a week at the Antica Residenza. It is very comfortable and located in an excellent, classic part of Bologna. Agostino is a welcoming and endlessly helpful host. We will want to stay here again the next time we’re in Bologna. It’s now our favorite B&B.

Augustino was the consummate host. He engaged with guests, offered helpful suggestions, tour itineraries, dining tips as well as practical logistics. He was able to converse proficiently in multiple languages, a true Renaissance man. The lodgings were comfortable and decorated in a style that was in keeping with the antiquity of the building. Bed linens and towels were of a high standard and immaculately clean. AC and heating kept the room comfortable, no matter what the season. The apartment was very well situated, a pleasant 25-minute walk from Bologna Centrale train station that provided a nice tour of the old quarter and a few of its highlights. It was also very close to a few nice dining venues, a pastry shop, a gelateria as well as a supermarket. I really see no need to stay elsewhere when visiting Bologna. I hope to return soon!

Staying in the center of Bologna in a historic residence is a beautiful experience. Excellent welcome from Mr. Agostino, very helpful and friendly. Beautiful room, with a super comfortable bed. Highly recommended to come and discover Bologna. A place to return to.

The Antica Residenza D'Azeglio is very nice, located in a very old building very close to the city center (you can reach Piazza Maggiore in a few minutes on foot). The room is spacious and equipped with every necessity, and the room is made up every day. The manager is a very courteous person, friendly and a pleasant entertainer. We had a great time and I recommend it without any doubt.
