This charming Castelletto is located in Canavese in a corner at the edge of the pristine green morainic amphitheater of Ivrea, and overlooks the wooded valley of the river Chiusella.

Of very ancient origins (the first historical documents dating back to the XI century) experienced alternating periods of splendor and decadence, half-destroyed at the end of the fourteenth century by the popular fury of Tuchini, was restored by craftsmen Baroque in the seventeenth century.

Fallen in the nineteenth century in a state of total decay and neglect, had the good fortune to rise thanks to the love of her current owner, who restored with taste and skill both the building and the interior, as the surrounding garden.

Some of the rooms of the castle are now used as Bed and Breakfast: the landlord personally oversees the preparation of meals, particularly rich and varied, with typical local products

Living within the walls of a historic castle, filled with elegance and history, was an incredible experience on its own. However, what impressed me most was the perfect blend of old-world charm and the ultra-modern comforts of a five-star hotel. The room in the castle was simply luxurious. Antique furniture, a spacious layout, and breathtaking views from the window created a unique and magical atmosphere. Every detail was thoughtfully designed to perfection. The amenities fully matched the standards of the hotel of luxe: a spacious bathroom with marble finishes, premium toiletries, and impeccable service. What truly stood out was the attention to guests. This B&B is truly wonderful. From the unique opportunity to stay in a castello in a beautiful setting looking over a valley. The facility is full of tradition. Our host Santino is so pleasant and gracious and always happy to ensure our stay is perfect. This was our return visit after our first Italian tour of the Lakes region. This time after a long 4 week tour we decided to just stay and relax in the courtyard on a warm and sunny late September day. The facility is so peaceful and tranquil - what a great way to relax and de-stress. Thank you so much Santino for your hospitality. Hopefully someday we will return once again.

Strambinello is an old castle renovated by the talented and hospitable Santino. I cannot express how much I admired it during the whole stay. The place is very cozy, clean, and authentic. Santino cooks delicious tailor-made breakfasts himself and makes the best coffee I have had in Italy.\n\nStrambinello castle is the one and only place I would like to stay near Turin. I believe the price for 1 night is too low for everything Santino offers to his guests.\n\nI wish I could speak Italian so that Santino could understand all the wonderful words I have for him. Please choose this place for your stay - I want Santino’s castle to live.

When I got to the B&B, Santino was a superb host. He paid attention to what I needed but didn't bother me too much. It felt like staying at a friend's house. \n\nThe breakfast was really good with lots of tasty food to choose from. There were fresh things like bread, fruits, etc. It was clear that they took their time to make it special. \n\nMy room was neat and had everything I might need. The whole place was peaceful and made me feel relaxed. Thank you!

Castello di Strambinello is an amazing, special place to stay with a unique outstanding atmosphere. We had a very spacious room/suite with all the comforts, the decor was very nice, a good combination of antique and modern. Flower arrangements, books, paintings, and artworks, everywhere lovely details. You can really feel how much the owner, Santino, likes to host guests in his wonderfully restored castle. He is very friendly and helpful, a truly generous person. The breakfast is very delicious with a large selection of homemade and regional products. This is a beautiful spot in an old castle with gorgeous views of the valley. The courtyard is so inviting for a cappuccino or a glass of wine. The rooms are very unique, very clean, with lots of antiques that the owner, Santino, has restored himself.\n\nSantino is friendly, accommodating, and ready to do whatever you need to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast is one of the best we've encountered. He always has this wonderful typical cheese of the area that I love. The breakfast room is beautiful, with lots to look at.\n\nThere is so much to do in this area, the Gran Paradiso park is very close. Lots of good hiking and skiing in the winter. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. We have been there twice and will go back again. Thank you Santino.

Imagine visiting a castle, and suddenly being invited to stay the night in the King's suite! That's how it was for us. The bedroom was as big as a flat, with a crystal chandelier. We also had a reception room, a kitchenette, and a spacious bathroom. The furnishings were a tasteful mixture of old and the most luxurious modern amenities. Santiago, the owner, is not only the most hospitable and kind host, but an excellent cook, and the breakfasts he prepared were fit for royalty. We spent two nights in Castello Di Strambinello and are already planning our next visit for a much longer stay.

Truly a first-class B&B that I can highly recommend wholeheartedly. The attention to detail is superb, the setting is wonderful, the host and his family are a delight with nothing too much trouble, the views are beautiful and the entire property has a special ambience seldom found. The castle has been meticulously restored with exquisite taste and care, making it an exceptionally comfortable place to stay. The bedroom was spacious, with a fabulous bathroom and a small kitchenette stocked with lots of interesting goodies for the midnight munchies. Breakfast was colorful, healthy, completely delicious, and beautifully laid out each morning. Santino, the host, makes a very good cup of coffee and bakes beautifully too. I will certainly be returning, and hope you find it as welcoming and stunning as we did on our recent trip to the Aosta/Piedmont region of Italy.

Castello di Strambinello is a very charming castle that internally is restyled in a very tasteful way. All quality criteria are as high as possible. We have only one remark: the direct environment is not the most touristic area of Italy. For a next visit to Italy we will surely revisit the castle.

Our stay was excellent. Dr. Santino is very friendly, he is always there to recommend us good places to visit. The Castello di Strambinello is like living a fairy tale. The breakfast is delicious (all homemade) with that touch of classical music... it's great! We were a family of 5 people (2 adults and 3 children), the bedding is very comfortable. The structure is nothing short of enchanting, both outside and inside. The room (Arieti), with giant dimensions, possesses a rare charm from another time, but at the same time does not lack any comfort, from the necessities for the bathroom, to the mini fridge, to the kettle with herbal teas available (and much more). The attention to detail is the result of a skillful and loving work carried out by the splendid owner, Mr. Santino. Impeccable cleanliness of the premises. Charming place managed superbly. The castle is in a panoramic position, renovated to preserve its ancient character and immersed in a well-kept and lush garden. We stayed in the Bandiera suite, charming for its period furnishings and very comfortable. We appreciated the underfloor heating and the large, comfortable shower. Impeccable cleaning of all environments, great attention to detail. The breakfast is of high quality: only products made with quality raw materials, homemade bread, cake and pastries, homemade jams made by the managers. Unforgettable experience, to be repeated.

We stayed one night with my wife, and it was a surprise that left us very satisfied. We couldn't describe it with ordinary judgment criteria, it's a combination of situations that contribute to feeling good. A gem to discover! A castle renovated with great taste, immersed in greenery and surrounded by a garden full of colors and scents. Mini apartments furnished impeccably and equipped with every comfort are available to guests. Even though we only stayed for a day, this castle captivated me with its beauty, the colorful nature surrounding it, the well-kept interior spaces, and the rich vegetation and flowers in the ancient colors outside. I felt like a princess for a day, in a familiar environment, with a queen's breakfast. I was sorry to have to leave; I miss Mia and the whole castle. I absolutely recommend it even for those just passing through.
