The Athena Resort is located in Kamarina, in South Eastern Sicily, on the southern coast of Ragusa, it is the only village within the "Oriented Natural Reserve of the Aleppo Pine", in the area of the ancient Greek city, a short distance from the archaeological site of Kamarina, one of the most important in Sicily, on a hill between Scoglitti and Santa Croce Camerina. The Village is active and functional from the end of April to the end of September, with minimum services until mid-June, then being at the top from mid-June until mid-September and then reduced until the end of September. In the summer, the tourist village is the ideal place for adults, teenagers and children, equipped with an Olympic-sized swimming pool with umbrellas and sunbeds, access to the private beach with umbrellas and sunbeds, adjoining bar (by own vehicle or private village shuttles included), mini club with indoor spaces dedicated only to children including an infinity pool with shallow water, and mini club also on the beach, 2 outdoor play areas for children, 5 tennis courts, 2 11-a-side football fields, 1 soccer field 8 and 1 five-a-side football pitch, a small gym, a mini golf pitch, table tennis tables, beautician, hairdresser, general store. tobacconist, parapharmacy, minimarket, 3 bars, 2 restaurants, 1 pizzeria, daytime entertainment both on the beach and in the pool, and in the evening in the large Amphitheater in the Olympic pool area, baby dance, evening shows, group dances and music to follow....
The Village is located in a protected area, the Aleppo Pine Oriented Nature Reserve, an ideal location for visiting the 8 Late Baroque UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Val di Noto (a few kilometers from Ragusa, Modica, Scicli, Noto, Avola, Caltagirone, Piazza Armerina), and we are in the center between the Greek cities of Syracuse Gela and Agrigento, we are also only 8 km from Donnafugata Castle, 16 km from Punta Secca (Montalbano's home) and 4 km after there is Marina di Ragusa. Excellent location to relax in the middle of nature, for long weekends, or for romantic getaways away from prying eyes since we are in a very private and sparsely populated area.

There are always available to guests, but without lighting in the evening, the soccer fields, the tennis courts, the 2 play areas for children and the minigolf field and within a radius of 4 km there are many free beaches of golden sand such as that of Scoglitti or that of the Randello Reserve, where there is an equipped pine forest that overlooks the beach.
Since we are 4 km apart. from the first small town of Scoglitti, you absolutely need a car to reach it if you need groceries or something else. There are no connections between the village and the surrounding cities.
Homes:
We have 3 private houses for the holidays, fully furnished and equipped with all the comforts to live well both in winter and in summer. All houses are located on the first floor and each house is made up of
- double bedroom (the 2nd and 3rd have a large bed)
- small bedroom with 2 single beds which can be joined if necessary (house 4 also has a bridge bed)
- kitchen living room with a double sofa bed.
- 1 bathroom
Of the 3 houses, Casa 2 and Casa 3 are the best positioned within the village, they are located in the center between the hotel and the swimming pool, also 2 steps from the parking area for the shuttle to the private beach, the other house which is the most comfortable and most beautiful of all, the House 4 "La Relax" (a villa) is more distant from the central area of the village and for this small inconvenience in the tourist season we offer it at the same price as the other 2.
The house is rented entirely, therefore the price varies slightly if there are 2 of you rather than 6 or 7 (due to the possible cost of the bed and bathroom sets), the house 2 and 3 can accommodate up to 6 adults, while the house 4 “La Relax” can accommodate up to 7 adults.
Nothing is missing in my homes, all crockery and cutlery, all household appliances (vacuum cleaner, washing machine, microwave, electric oven, fridge with freezer, toaster, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, espresso pod coffee machines – the FROGs for a coffee just like at the bar, all the fixtures are equipped with mosquito nets, air conditioners both in the living room and in the master bedroom and the same thing for the TVs (both in the bedroom and in the living room) and in houses 2 and 3 there are also the dishwashers.In the bedrooms of houses 2 and 3 we have placed wider double beds, so that, if there is a child sleeping with their parents, they do not create any discomfort and they can rest quite comfortably.On the ground floor there is also a masonry and an iron barbecue for each house, while in the 4 "La Relax" on the ground floor there is also, in addition to private parking, an outdoor shower, a covered area with a gazebo where there are table, chairs, a barbecue and a built-in sink as well 3 bikes available for guests.
All 3 houses, even if in the distance, have a sea view.
All houses are rented in residence formula, excluding food and drinks, including utilities.
Binding condition: From June to September, the houses are rented only for weekly or multiple week periods with entry and exit on Saturday, while for all other periods of the year, more or less short variable rental periods are also accepted. Only on special requests we can also accept reservations for a few hours, for daily rest, for a temporary basis for work, for short romantic getaways, day use, rooms by the hour. Maximum discretion, maximum privacy, maximum confidentiality. From October to April there are no activities in the village. Obviously, the longer the periods, the more you save (for monthly periods, personalized estimates are made with any electricity costs to be considered separately). In any case it is not possible to bring the residence. Those who come to stay with us during the period in which the village with tourist activities is functioning, receive from us up to 5 club cards for each house to be able to take advantage of all the services that the village offers. Club cards are for everyone over the age of 7.
Our houses are also perfect for winter stays and for those who want to enjoy the sea and the heat of October/November, April/May or simply relax in the midst of nature. All our houses are in compliance with the identification code of the Sicily Region.
