Description
We are a true "European" family I, Donata, am Italian - my husband, Graham, is English.

We met in Germany and later married in London in 1972.

Our older son Sebastian is now married and lives in Germany - but he was born in the Netherlands, while the second son Francis was born in England but now is married in Brescia with our beautiful grandchild!
Our Hotel has 19 rooms bu in the heart we are a B & B..we really want to make you feel at home, with the quiet atmosfere, the green of the large garden, our informal hospitality.

In our garden of 2000 meters there is ample parking, so you can come and go without having to worry about the car.

And if you prefer not to drive on vacation..the center of Marina di Massa starts with the pedestrian area 150m. from us and the sandy BEACH is at less then 100m.

Picturesque property set in a small park where you can also find several gazebos to make the stay even better. Ample parking. Courtesy and friendliness characterize the entire staff. Located a short walk from the center, it is very close to the beaches, which are easily reachable on foot.

The highlight is the proximity to the sea and the lovely parking. The rooms are dated and the bathroom is tiny. The breakfast is nothing special. The price is excessive for what it offers.

Convenient location. The staff is friendly and the cleanliness is good. Breakfast was poor and frozen, and the room was mediocre, especially in terms of space. The price is absolutely not proportional to what the property offers.

Very nice property, minimal furnishings but cleanliness and friendliness were impeccable! Breakfast included, classic Italian-style but good. There is air conditioning. We will definitely come back.

Friendly and helpful staff. They were very kind seeing that my dad had problems with his legs. They changed the room for us without us having to ask, assigning us a room on the ground floor. I was happy about this.

Great location, extremely close to both the city center and the beach, both reachable in 2 minutes on foot. Equipped with a large parking lot adjacent to the property and often shaded by trees. Cleanliness is okay, the owners are very kind and friendly. For us, a regular stop on weekends in Marina di Massa.

Strategically in an optimal location, just a few steps from the beach and a few steps from the marina center with restaurants and shops. The lady managing the property and her daughter are of sincere kindness and availability. The property is not as large as its rooms but lacks nothing and the breakfast is truly complete and delicious. If you do not need a grand hotel, this is the right property. We will return.

We stayed for 3 nights and I must say we had a great time. The location near the sea, internal shaded parking. The owners are exceptional, very courteous. The room and common areas are very clean. Great experience.

For being the Hotel Caprice **, the price is a bit high. Considering that there is no air conditioning, the room and the bathroom are very small, the shower does not have a support to store soap, shampoo, etc. Regards.

Hotel located a few meters from the sea; friendly and cordial managers. They gave me a recently built bungalow, comfortable and practical. I have been going back for 5 years because the quality-price ratio is good and because it is very quiet. I will definitely return.

Small and spartan room but complete, impeccable cleanliness! Excellent central location that justifies the price, very helpful managers, top marks! Leaving at dawn, I did not have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast but it was included in the price. I would return if I needed a short stop.

We had a great time, the ladies who manage are kind, helpful, and always ready for any eventuality. The structure is 60 meters from the sea and 200 from the center, perfect location. A nice garden and free private parking. We will definitely come back.

I had a very good experience, but I have to say that there are some negative aspects, which however are not too relevant. In my room, for example, there were missing sockets: there was one in the bathroom and one for the fan, but there were none near the bedside tables. On one bedside table, however, there was a lamp, which was not connected. The bathroom was a bit small, without a bidet and had no shower tray. The floor was flat under the toilet, which means you flooded everything every time. Finally, there was no private terrace to hang out swimsuits or beach towels. There was only a common terrace.

We stayed at Hotel Caprice for 3 days and we enjoyed it. The staff is very kind and friendly. The hotel is clean and that's the most important thing, even though the rooms are a bit dated. "Wonderful place a stone's throw from the center of Marina di Massa and very close to the beach, both free and paid. The management is excellent: Mrs. Selene and Jessica are wonderful people, very competent and fond of children. In addition to the rooms, the structure has a beautiful garden with several gazebos where you can have breakfast or snacks. You can also use a dedicated refrigerator to always have ice pops ready for your cooler bags. It's the second time we go there and we will definitely return soon. I recommend it to those who want to have a vacation without having to use the car to get around, because everything is within easy reach."

Great location, very close to the sea and the center but in a quiet area. Although the structure is dated, it has simple and functional rooms, very clean. The staff is very kind and helpful. I take this opportunity to thank you for waiting for us until late on the evening of arrival and for giving us the opportunity to leave the car in the parking lot even after leaving the room.

Nice structure. Our room, however, was in the annex/bungalow, which until at least 10 pm was like an oven. There was a slightly dated and noisy fan, maybe ceiling fans would be better. Room and bathroom cleanliness excellent, but the structure needs some work, the sink needs replacing (damaged and small and still with two taps), the blinds are broken. The garden is beautiful. The owners are very kind.

Ci sono dei clienti che mi prenotano quella sistemazione da un anno all'altro, amano essere in giardino con il loro tavolino all'ombra, anche se normalmente quella stanza è molto fresca quest'anno abbiamo dovuto potare gli alberi e la differenza si sente. Tengo le dita incrociate che i rami si sbrighino a crescere! Non mettiamo le pale a soffitto perché non c'è l'altezza di sicurezza e non ci fidiamo dei bambini che saltano sui letti e le pale verrebbero ad essere proprio sui letti. Certo che se sistemassi la struttura sarebbe meglio, anzi potrei diventare un tre stelle e fare altri prezzi. Per quanto riguarda la tapparella rotta, se me lo avesse detto avrei rimediato subito. Grazie di aver preso il tempo per lasciare i suoi commenti e sono contenta nell'insieme vi siate trovati bene. Buona estate Donata.

Positive notes: the managers/owners are kind and helpful even for small needs (fridge available, luggage storage and car park even beyond the time when the room is vacated). A beautiful garden, close to the sea. The structure is certainly dated but overall clean and comfortable. Suggestions: it could be useful to install mosquito nets.

The Hotel Caprice ** facility is a bit dated (for us more than enough, as when we go out we use the room only for sleeping and washing), but we take into consideration that it is a 2-star, so everything you need is there (there is also a fridge available for guests). We experienced 4 days of extreme heat, so we suffered a bit with the fan, but we overcame that too. Our room had a balcony, so it was definitely more spacious; we didn't see the other rooms. The location is excellent, on one side you have the sea, on the other the center; very convenient internal parking; do not underestimate the kindness and cordiality of the two owners, truly exquisite.

Grazie per la recensione molto apprezzata, perché precisa e puntuale: noi siamo proprio così. È vero che il nostro Hotel è un po' datato (come noi d'altronde) ma come dice giustamente è per questo che siamo un 2 stelle. Solo 3 camere hanno il balcone ma ci sono comunque 2.000 metri di giardino per tutti. Il gran caldo ahimè ce lo siamo presi tutti ma quando qui avevamo 33° mio figlio a Brescia ne aveva 41° e poi il basso tasso di umidità ci ha aiutato molto.

It is good to have the possibility to leave the car inside the parking lot which is always well shaded. The facility is located in an excellent position both to reach the beach and the center of Marina di Massa. Although our stay was short, I would recommend it even for longer periods. We are a very close-knit couple (we lost count of the years we have been together...many!), we share a desire...to think that we have contributed a little to the happy memories our customers have of their holidays. I am Donata, I have just become a grandmother, I teach courses for personal growth and self-esteem. My husband is Graham, English and you can tell from his accent, but after so many years in Italy...in some things he is more Italian than me!

Our hotel is situated in a quiet residential area in the center: we are about a 100 m. from the center of Marina di Massa and the beautiful pier where you can walk looking at the sea and the Apuan Alps.
We are about 70 meters from the beach...and right in front of us there is the free beach as well as private establishments.
Many of our customers take advantage of our "strategic" position to visit the marble quarries of Carrara (where Michelangelo went to choose the marble for his works), or spend a day in Pisa and Lucca or Florence (just a little more than a 'hour away), and still have the chance to go to the beach when returning from the trip!
