Wow! What a beautiful personalized welcome! The site and the rooms are magnificent, the breakfast excellent, but what truly makes the difference is the kindness of Simona and Cristina, as well as the rest of this so friendly family.

We really enjoyed our stay in Matera although it was too short (1 night). A very good welcome from Danilo who took the time to explain how to organize our visit to the city. There is parking to easily park the car close to the center, the routes to follow to tour the many things to see with many explanations, and good advice for dining. This made our task much easier. The breakfast is simple but Danilo still brings fresh croissants in the morning. Nice touch. Very well located if you have a car.

Excellent welcome in this B&B located a bit away from the center of Matera, but the location is very convenient if you are with a vehicle because you can park inside the property. There are tables available outside for breakfast or a picnic (with a very beautiful view of the valley). Very attentive owners and good advice for visiting Matera. We highly recommend.

One must know that there is no breakfast - even though it is advertised on their own website and the bed-and-breakfast website starts with the review 'extensive breakfast'. We have informed the landlords and hope that this misleading information will be corrected truthfully on the internet quickly. The landlords are really kind and very warm. We received good information about the sights. However, we believe they could transform a more pleasant accommodation from a very neglected outdoor area with some effort. For example, we found it annoying to have to ask the landlord by phone to open the electric gate every time before entering the property. For a short stopover to visit the nearby Matera, the stay was OK.

Excellent property both in terms of location and cleanliness. We stayed two days and I must say we felt really good. Quiet place, two delightful people and their son-in-law is also a very affable person. I highly recommend it to anyone going to Matera. I hope to return very soon.

We spent a wonderful long weekend. Cleanliness and hospitality were truly top-notch. The owners (Mr. Biagio and Mrs. Cristina) welcomed us with friendliness and helped us with how to get around. They are truly kind and courteous people. The structure is located just outside Matera in the utmost tranquility, and it takes only 5 minutes to reach the city center. Certainly, for our next trip, we know where to stay.

It is difficult to review a perfect stay. The hosts welcome you like old friends. They accommodate you in comfortable rooms that are taken care of in every detail. Before the guides take you through the streets of the Sassi, they let you know them with the passion of those who can tell them as part of their own story. And do not forget to note the poetry of their son Vincenzo framed on the wall: words that evoke the density of life through the vision of the sea or a simple stone wall, or again, with the charm of an apparent nursery rhyme, express the intertwining of the dimensions of peace and war. In short, an experience to live... like Matera.

Grazie per la recensione inaspettata, dal momento che abbiamo cercato di soddisfare ogni vostro desiderio: avete goduto della possibilità di consumare anche i pasti personali in struttura, dopo avervi fornito tutto il necessario richiesto. La nostra colazione è all'italiana e comprende cornetti freschi di pasticceria, appena sfornati, gran varietà di prodotti imbustati di ottima qualità (brioches, muffins, crostatine, treccine, plumcakes, ecc...), biscotti, succo di frutta, vari tipi di the, tisane, caffè, crema caffè, yogurt, marmellate, nutella e alla vostra richiesta di frutta fresca al mattino abbiamo soddisfatto anche quest'ultima richiesta. Comunque abbiamo apprezzato che avete gradito i prodotti da noi offerti dal momento che tutto quello che vi è stato servito è stato abbondantemente consumato. B&b IL Villino

We stayed in Matera unfortunately for only one night, we stayed in this B&B and both my boyfriend and I were very happy. Biagio welcomed us with care and attention, he told us many stories about the city and it was a real pleasure for us to meet him. He proved to be a nice person. The room was perfect: clean, complete, and well furnished. The proximity to the center is noteworthy. Even the parking outside the house obviously turned out to be convenient. In short, everything was great! If I were to return to Matera, I believe I would already know where to stay! Keep it up!

We have just returned from a weekend made unforgettable by the suggestive beauty of Matera and its Sassi, the warm welcome of its inhabitants and the owners Biagio and Cristina, proprietors of Il Villino where we stayed for two nights. Il Villino is a sober, clean place just a few minutes from the center. Mr. Biagio and Mrs. Cristina welcomed us with grace and kindness, giving us information on what to see or where to eat. Such love for their land! I would gladly return.

Located about 1 kilometer from the center in a quiet and peaceful location, with courtyard and secure parking. The owners are friendly and reliable, and the lady includes an exceptional pizza during the abundant breakfast. Cleanliness and courtesy, but smokers have to stay outside! (sigh!). Recommended.
