A private garden suspended above the medieval walls, from which Lake Trasimeno stretches as far as the eye can see: this is the defining feature of Incanto del Trasimeno — an apartment with panoramic views over the lake, in the heart of the historic centre of Castiglione del Lago, on the second floor of a period building.

The spaces are bright and generous: a living area with sofas and TV, a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, coffee machine and everything you need to feel at home.

The three bedrooms look out in different directions — towards the lake panorama, towards Porta Fiorentina and towards the historic centre — with flexible configurations: one double room, one available as double or twin, and one with a double sofa bed. Terracotta floors and spacious rooms preserve the authentic character of traditional Umbrian homes.

Modern comforts throughout: air conditioning, independent heating, a main bathroom with shower and a smaller second bathroom, fully equipped with washbasin, toilet and bidet.

The private garden looks directly out over the lake and the Umbrian landscape: a secluded and peaceful space, perfect for breakfast outdoors, moments of relaxation or sunsets over Trasimeno that are hard to forget.

The apartment is located in the town centre, so it is very convenient for exploring the whole village and visiting the lake, and it has all the necessary amenities. The host was very kind and helpful. The only remark I would make, without detracting from the overall positive feedback, is that since it was December and therefore quite cold, and the apartment is inside an older building, we would have appreciated it being a bit warmer. The radiators were all off, so it took a few hours before it reached a temperature at which we could be without our jackets. But apart from this small note, we were satisfied.

I highly recommend it. The apartment is fully equipped for both couples and families with children. The location is excellent, right in the historic center. The owner is very kind and available. Everything is perfect.

We were welcomed by Roberto, who was very nice, and he showed us the apartment and also gave us some tips for parking and visiting the lake. The apartment is very nice, antique style and equipped with all comforts. It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a dining room and a kitchen with everything, but really everything you need. It is a pity that we only stayed one night, but I would have gladly stayed a week. From the window, you can see the lake and the location is very convenient both for walking to the center and for parking. The owner, Mrs. Laura, is very nice and helpful via WhatsApp. It is an experience I can recommend to friends.

Structure on Porta Fiorentina, 30 meters from the central street where all the shops and restaurants are located. The building and the apartment are delightful, like going on vacation at grandmother's house, but with all the comforts (TV, air conditioning, double bathrooms and WIFI), fully equipped kitchen, spacious and with a beautiful lake view. Rustic living room with fireplace and lake view. Nothing to complain about cleanliness. The owner is very friendly and always available.

Area Centro

Castiglione del Lago stands on a promontory between Umbria and Tuscany, overlooking Lake Trasimeno in one of the most authentic areas of central Italy.

The apartment is located within the ancient medieval walls, in the Porta Fiorentina area, just a few steps from the main square, the Palazzo della Corgna, the Rocca del Leone and the lakeside promenade. Everything is within walking distance: traditional restaurants, cafés, wine bars, artisan shops and the silent alleyways that make every stroll through the village a pleasure.

Lake Trasimeno offers ever-changing landscapes: lakeside villages, panoramic paths, beaches and cycling routes. The islands — Isola Maggiore and Isola Polvese — are reachable by boat and offer a quiet that is hard to find elsewhere.

Nearby, villages such as Panicale, Paciano and Città della Pieve still move at a slow and authentic pace, while the small town of Mugnano is known as the “village of murals”. Throughout the year the area comes alive with events deeply rooted in local tradition: the “Festa del Tulipano” in spring and the “Luci sul Trasimeno” in winter, when the largest Christmas tree on water in the world transforms the lake into something magical.
