Rebeccu Arte e Ospitalità is a corner of reflection and creativity in the heart of the medieval village of Rebeccu, near Bonorva. Born from a passion for art and a decade of experience in producing artistic residencies, this project aims to connect visitors with the cultural and environmental roots of a Sardinia rich in history. Here, the authenticity of the territory merges with the local agro-pastoral and artisanal tradition, offering a hospitality model that celebrates the encounter between travelers and artists.

The facilities include a hostel characterized by shared spaces, where a communal kitchen and a co-working area can be found, alongside nine private cottages, each equipped with a bathroom. The atmosphere is intentionally simple and spartan, a nod to the authenticity of the place that enriches the stay experience. Guests can take advantage of Wi-Fi, a self-service coffee corner, book-crossing, and board games, thus creating an environment conducive to cultural exchange and relaxation.

Rebeccu is a refuge for those seeking inspiration in nature and archaeology, for artists in search of a stimulating space, and for travelers desiring a total immersion in Sardinian culture. Each stay can be tailored to individual preferences, whether it is a quiet retreat or an intense artistic residency experience. Care for the environment and respect for local traditions are fundamental values in this place, where guests are encouraged to contribute to the preservation of the village.

The historical context of Rebeccu further enriches this unique experience, with its blend of reality and legend. The ancient Roman road that once connected Cagliari to Olbia and the famous legend of the curse of Donoria give this village an aura of magic. Despite its current near-desolation, the stones of Rebeccu continue to tell stories that convey a sense of identity and belonging, making every visit a journey through time.

In Rebeccu, history and artistry coexist in a perfect balance, inviting exploration of its silent streets and allowing inspiration to be drawn from the beauty of the surrounding landscapes. Guests will find an environment that not only promotes relaxation but also nurtures creativity and reflection, making each stay an opportunity to rediscover the deepest essence of Sardinia.

Our second stay in Rebeccu was as successful as the first. The setting allows a full immersion in the nature and history of Sardinia. The property is very clean and well organized, and our host was welcoming and very attentive to us. Jackpot!

Located in a ghost village, the hostel has a nice lounge and a large kitchen. My room was a three-bed room with a liquid gas heater and a bathroom with no heating at all. The kitchen had everything for self-catering, including some canned food and pasta left by previous guests, which was a relief because the village restaurant was closed. No direct contact with the managers: online check-in, key in a coded box. Sad for someone like me coming from 30 km of the Cammino di Santu Jacu; I would have appreciated meeting people. Price absolutely excessive (30 euros). Contrary to statements and requests about attention to waste, the receipt was inserted in a paper pouch that was certainly not recycled and there was another small bag for possible tips.

The answer from the host:
