We highly recommend Monticello B&B for a stay in Rome's city center. It is in a perfect location to tour the famous sites of Rome, and Vatican city and we felt very safe. The unit was very quiet, clean, comfortable and updated. It is small but typical for a European accommodation. The bathroom has been recently updated so the shower is excellent. The bedroom air conditioning is also excellent and the bed is very comfortable. The shared kitchen is modern and very nice, although we only used it for breakfast. The breakfast supplied was continental style with coffee or tea. The owner Laura was very hospitable and met us upon check-in. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and assisted with suggestions to nearby excellent eateries and shopping opportunities, as well as offering to assist us with our departure transportation arrangements. One caution is there are stairs upon entering the lobby before reaching the elevator level so it is not appropriate for persons with mobility restrictions. The stairs did not affect our stay. We would not hesitate to return here and will recommend it to family and friends.

Perfect location in the characteristic Monti neighborhood, convenient if you arrive by train. The owner, Laura, was kind and welcomed us at check-in; it is positive to have a personal contact. Comfortable and tidy room. A room is available for breakfast.

Very comfortable, clean and very close to the main points of interest in the city. Excellent and plentiful breakfast. Laura is a very friendly person, made me feel at home. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

We have just stayed at this Bed and Breakfast. The apartment is located halfway between Termini and the Colosseum, in a safe and quiet area. The owner who welcomed us was kind and helpful in providing us with all the information about the area and the must-see places in Rome. The room is clean and spacious. Everything really perfect. If I had to mention an improvement for the future, it could be the hairdryer in the bathroom, not very convenient as it is attached to the wall and not very powerful. But it's really a minor issue! Highly recommended to everyone!
