Description
The Bed and Breakfast "Casa Caterina", was born with the desire to share with their guests, the beauty, pleasures and flavors of a rich capital of art, culture and charm.

The B&B is on the second floor of a building of the '60s, has a lift and concierge service; is located in a residential area between green and quiet, for connections to Termini Station, the area offers the possibility of using the metro line B1 in 20 minutes arrive at the historical center, as well as bus lines n. 80 and 90 and 38. The express train service connecting the airport Rome Fiumicino to Nuovo Salario Station, which is connected to the B&B in a few minutes, with the bus 339 or 349.

The catacombs of St. Priscilla, the Baroque district of Coppedè, the splendid Villa Ada, the Airport of the City, the auditorium, the Olympic Stadium, the Salesian University and the shopping center Porta di Roma, the biggest d 'Europe, are some of the sights in the immediate vicinity.

Many services make it even more pleasant and comfortable stay with nearby bars, restaurants, pizzerias, pubs and ice cream parlors.

The host was very kind, the place was a bit far from the city centre but bus stop and metro are accessible so it's not a big problem. Highly recommended.

Auf unserer Durchreise von Deutschland nach Süditalien suchten wir eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit in Rom. Casa Caterina erwies sich als sehr gute Wahl. Unweit der Autobahn in einem ruhigen Viertel gelegen, fanden wir vor dem B&B problemlos einen kostenlosen Parkplatz auf der Straße. Sauberkeit wird in Casa Caterina groß geschrieben - das demonstriert bereits der "Putzschrank", in dem frische Putzlappen ordentlich aufgereiht auf ihren Einsatz warten. Nette Wohnung im 2. Stock eines gepflegten Wohnblocks. Fairer Preis. Kleine Schwachstelle: sehr schlichtes Frühstück ohne frisches Brot, Obst oder Wurst, aber Italien ist auch nicht das Mekka des opulenten Frühstücks und bei dem günstigen Preis ist das ok. In einigen anderen Rezensionen wird die Freundlichkeit von Gastgeber Ottavio hervorgehoben. Mit ihm hatten ich im Vorfeld alles abgeklärt. Gute, klare Kommunikation. Während meines Aufenthalts war er allerdings nicht in Rom und hatte seinen Vater gebeten, für ihn einzuspringen. Hier zeigte sich, dass der Apfel nicht weit vom Stamm fällt. Auch der Vater war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir fragten u. a., ob er uns eine gute Pizzeria in der Nähe empfehlen könne. Konnte er nicht, aber sofort wurde Ottavio angerufen, der einen guten Tipp geben konnte: Pizzeria "Pizzando Grilliando" in Piazzale Jonio 39, zu Fuß problemlos erreichbar. Der Vater bot sich hernach an, uns mit dem Auto vorauszufahren, um uns dorthin zu lotsen. War nicht nötig, aber ein sehr nettes Angebot. Top. Casa Caterina wird auf jeden Fall in meine Bestenliste empfehlenswerter Unterkünfte aufgenommen. Beim nächsten Rombesuch frage ich gerne wieder bei Ottavio an..

Accommodation 100% recommended, very cozy, clean, abundant breakfast, impeccable towels and bath towels. The accommodation has everything necessary and more to be able to prepare food, all the utensils, some daily use products for hygiene and for the kitchen. It is 300 meters from bus 80 and a 15-minute walk from the metro. Ottavio super attentive to our needs and to make us feel at home. Without a doubt, we will return.

Highly recommended accommodation. Communication with Ottavio is excellent. It is ventilated, it has a large window in the bedroom and the bed is extremely comfortable.

Very nice location. Simple, but beautiful. The manager, a young guy, is extremely helpful for any doubt or question. The services are excellent, the rooms are very clean, very well maintained, bright and colorful. And the breakfast is...abundant!! I am very satisfied and I recommend this property to anyone. I have given some ratings based on my volunteer life experience. Excellent overall. The manager is an excellent communicator who inspires trust. The house represents what everyone aspires to. Cleanliness and order. The structure also offers the possibility to use the kitchen. Nothing would be missing to live there normally.

The place is lovely, very well-kept. But what makes it special is the care and passion that the owners put into managing the b&b, making the guest feel at home. Excellent breakfast with good products, very varied and with excellent cakes!

Very nice place and equipped with everything. The location is great, a 10-minute walk from the metro. The neighborhood is very quiet. Ottavio, even though we did not meet him in person, was always available for any need. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this B&B for 3 nights. Spacious and very clean room, the manager was nice and super helpful for any information. Shared bathroom as advertised, also clean. Possibility to have breakfast with kitchen and fridge available. 10-15 minutes walk from the metro (Jonio which is 15 minutes from Colosseo stop).

Pleasant stay, common areas clean, warm room but when I asked for a fan, Ottavio's father (a kind person) immediately provided it before leaving. Quiet building and pizzeria 70 meters away. I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Ottavio in person but he was very kind and helpful over the phone. The area is a bit out of the way but in 10/15 minutes you can reach the Jonio stop on line B which takes you to the Colosseum in less than half an hour.

Ho soggiornato al B&B con mia nipote per più di 2 settimane, devo dire che mi sono trovata molto bene. Il B&B è situato in una zona tranquilla e a piedi in 10 minuti sei vicino alla metropolitana o ai vari negozi, poste, farmacie etc. Per quanto riguarda il B&B per me è stato come essere a casa mia grazie alla gentilezza, la riservatezza e soprattutto la disponibilità di Ottavio (il gestore). Quindi consiglio vivamente questo B&B per la location, e il rapporto qualità e prezzo che è ottimo.

Gita a Roma di quattro giorni, ci siamo fermati nel B&B Casa Caterina, struttura funzionale leggermente in salita non lontanissima dalla metro (capolinea linea B "JONIO") e dalle fermate degli autobus. Si trova al secondo piano, piccola ma carina, gestita da Ottavio che purtroppo era fuori Roma e non siamo riusciti ad incontrare, ma in compenso erano presenti i suoi genitori simpaticissimi e super disponibili tanto da portarci pure a fare un giro in auto con loro per farci vedere la zona intorno. Esperienza positiva da consigliare.

Sono stato nel B&B casa Caterina per un weekend, la location è immersa nel verde, silenziosa e ben servita dai mezzi pubblici. La casa è accogliente, pulita e il gestore è un ragazzo gentile e molto disponibile. Ci si sente come a casa propria. La consiglio e ci tornerò sicuramente per le prossime escursioni romane.

Questa estate ho soggiornato per due volte al Casa Caterina e mi sono trovata davvero molto bene. Gentilezza, disponibilità e soprattutto pulizia, in una zona molto tranquilla e molto ben servita anche dai mezzi pubblici; in 3 minuti a piedi si raggiunge la fermata di diversi autobus che arrivano diretti in Piazza Venezia, oppure alla vicina stazione della Metropolitana. • Near (within 1 min) to a stop of public transport.
• Near (within 10 min.) Railway station.

HOW TO GET:

DIRECTIONS From Termini Station:
Inside Termini Station, take the Metro B direction "Ionian", once you get off go to Via Val Melaina and the traffic lights turn left (you will see the soccer fields), continue uphill for 100 meters on Via Ottorino Gentiloni, until you arrive here.

Outside the Stazione Termini, you will find the bus number 90, for about 30 minutes and get off at the stop "Cervialto / Bonomi", once you get off, take Via Ivanoe Bonomi (Next to the bakery Carmignani) and continue uphill to Via Ottorino Gentiloni, up to the number 41.




FROM TRAIN TIBURTINA (TRAIN STATION AND BUS) :
From Tiburtina Station, take the Metro B direction "Laurentina" and get off at the next stop (Bologna), then without leaving the metro, riprendetela in the direction of "Ionian", once you get off go to Via Val Melaina and the traffic lights turn left (you will see the soccer fields), continue uphill for 100 meters on Via Ottorino Gentiloni, until you arrive at 41.

FROM FIUMICINO AIRPORT:
From Fiumicino airport, take the train FR1 (Fiumicino - Rome - Orte) direction "Orte" and get off at "Nuovo Salario" (Ticket price € 8, 00 per person). Once off the bus, take bus 349 or 339, which takes 10 minutes to reach Via Ottorino Gentiloni.
