B&B Borgo Minerva

Perched on a small hill in the Valle delle Memorie, Bed & Breakfast Borgo Minerva offers a compact Salento-style retreat designed for those who wish to absorb Otranto’s atmosphere at a leisurely pace. The intimate setting ensures a sense of calm while remaining within easy reach of the lively historic centre, whose monuments narrate centuries of history and art.

The property features five elegantly furnished rooms, each equipped with an LCD TV, air conditioning, minibar and private bathroom; all overlook an equipped atrium with a gazebo, tables and sun loungers, perfect for relaxing after day trips. Breakfasts, prepared by the owner, are served in this pleasant outdoor area and reinforce the homely character of the establishment.

The location is convenient and strategic: the heart of Otranto is reached in a few minutes (about 600 metres), where visitors can admire the cathedral’s mysterious mosaic, the imposing Aragonese Castle and the basilical church of San Pietro, a jewel of Byzantine art. Within a few kilometres lie the beaches of Alimini, the Bay of the Turks, Torre dell'Orso and the crystalline coves of Baia dell'Orte, Porto Badisco and Porto Miggiano; Borgo Minerva is also an excellent base for exploring the Salento’s attractions, from Gallipoli and Castro to Santa Maria di Leuca and the baroque city of Lecce.

Breakfast is served Italian-style from a set menu: coffee, cappuccino, American coffee, hot tea, juices, yogurts, assorted croissants, rusks, single-portion jams and butter. Gluten-free breakfasts are available on request for an additional charge.
