Nestled in the tranquility of Val d'Aosta, La Maison des Vignerons stands as a precious witness to the local winemaking tradition, dating back to 1797. This historic residence, located in Donnas in the Grand Vert district, welcomes guests with the authenticity and simplicity of a bygone era, enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere. The stone vaults and bricks, testaments to centuries of craftsmanship, tell stories of serenity, inviting moments of peace and relaxation.
The facility boasts six rooms, each furnished with a personal touch, keeping alive the charm of traditional country houses. The furniture, crafted by skilled local artisans, reflects the harmony of natural materials, with larch wooden floors and rooms bathed in sunlight from spacious sunny terraces. Each room is named after an indigenous grape variety, evoking the rich wine tradition of the region and offering a tangible connection to the surrounding landscape. Thanks to the thick stone walls, the interiors remain cool even in summer, providing a comfortable refuge.
La Maison des Vignerons stands out not only for its beauty but also for its commitment to environmental sustainability, part of a project selected by the Autonomous Region of Valle d'Aosta. Guests can enjoy a genuine breakfast rich in typical Valdostan flavors, featuring high-quality products such as melted mountain butter, honey, jams, rye bread, cold cuts, and cheeses. Breakfast is served in a retro-style room, once the village's elementary school, where the brick vaults create a suggestive context.
During the summer months, guests can enjoy a gentle awakening, accompanied by the singing of birds and surrounded by the fragrance of aromatic herbs in the garden. The sweets prepared according to ancient family recipes represent a delightful start to the day, paying homage to local tradition. La Maison des Vignerons also offers, upon request, wine tastings and snacks, providing an authentic gastronomic experience in a context of charm and history.
