at a snail's leisurely pace
The old dwelling, with thick stone walls, dates back to the 1400s; it has been skilfully renovated over the last few years, and has kept its original architectural details, clearly visible in each room, especially in the living room.

The rooms with ribbed, vaulted and coffered ceilings witness our ancestors’ skills: as you step inside, you will be enveloped in a sweet and regenerating atmosphere, created by the lively green wall that perfectly matches the warm chestnut wood.

The Kitchen
The kitchen, equipped with all the home conveniences, is sunny and bright. The old table smells of ancient flavours and invites you to have long conversations interspersed with fragrant sweets and a few fruit-flavoured wine goblets.

The Living Room
This is the oldest room of the house: the terracotta floor and the ceiling with wooden beams are the right setting for your relaxing moments. The vintage wardrobe is in fact a small library containing also a collection of travel guides you can borrow. You can listen to music and watch TV in peace and quiet.

The thing that struck us initially was the name, B&B Va...lentina; it represented what we were looking for, a quiet place to forget about the hectic life for a few days. As soon as we arrived, Valentina welcomed us with kindness and warmth, we immediately felt at ease. We took a tour of the property, garden, cellar (a wonderful niche), and a wonderful venue for romantic dinners, which unfortunately we couldn't use (maybe next time). Valentina was truly a lovely person, you can see the passion in what she does, so thank you again for making us feel so good.

Meravigliosa struttura gestita da persone che hanno con passione sistemato una vecchia abitazione. Camere confortevoli e arredate con grande attenzione. Valentina molto disponibile; organizzano anche eventi, se non fossimo così lontano non ce li perderemmo; abbiamo anche acquistato le ottime marmellate fatte in casa. Merita la colazione servita nel giardino. Evviva le lumachine!

Mi sono innamorata di questa struttura guardando le foto delle camere sul sito. In effetti quando sono arrivata con mio marito, accolti da una splendida padrona di casa, Valentina, varcata la soglia mi è sembrato di entrare in un libro di fiabe. Una camera accogliente come un abbraccio, allegra, fresca, profumata e pulitissima in ogni angolo. Con grande piacere ho notato che era sprovvista di televisione. Che meraviglia! Ma allora è veramente un sogno questo posto. Come sottofondo, la sera, solo il cri-cri dei grilli. Il bagno attiguo, provvisto di tutto, gli ambienti curati fin nei minimi dettagli, con passione e con amore. Unico neo, se proprio vogliamo trovarlo la mancanza di rete wi-fi (si vive bene anche senza, sconnessi dal mondo). La mattina colazione in giardino, servita da Valentina, con prodotti freschi, preparati da lei e dalla mamma, torte, biscotti, marmellate fatte in casa, frutta fresca. Purtroppo siamo rimasti solo per una notte, ma ci torneremo presto, per riempirci gli occhi di natura sul monte Melogno e per rivivere una fiaba. Grazie Valentina.

Ho prenotato in questo B&B per fare una sorpresa a mio marito per San Valentino. La volontà e il bisogno era quello di passare un week end di relax lontano dalla città. Mai scelta fu più indovinata. Dal momento del nostro arrivo, da quando abbiamo varcato la porta rossa molto caratteristica tutto è stato come in una fiaba. La camera curata in ogni più piccolo dettaglio e particolare, Valentina eccezionale nel modo di accoglierci, un aperitivo da sogno e il giorno dopo al Sabato Valentina e la mamma ci hanno preparato la cena: servita in una stanza del circolo della Lumaca solo per noi, tutto in pietra e candele, ogni piatto una poesia di sapori sapientemente raccontati da Valentina che è eccezionale, lavora con amore passione e alla fine della serata la senti come un'amica, bellissimo chiacchierare con lei. Le colazioni meritano quanto l'aperitivo e la cena, una meraviglia. È stato tutto talmente bello che una volta chiusa la porta rossa per tornare a casa ho avuto il dubbio di girarmi per vedere se questo posto incantato esisteva davvero o lo avevo solo sognato.

Luogo fantastico, nel silenzio di Murialdo, in posizione strategica dal mare, immerso nel verde delle colline. Valentina è l'anima e la regina creativa della casa, ambiente curato ed accogliente, assolutamente consigliato. Ci siamo trovati così bene che torneremo a brevissimo.

Area Collina

Near de Sea, a 30 minutes far from the coast, sourranding by a green woods, we are also near at the land of pregiate grapes. "The Langa", where we find the most important prestigious wine in the world. In the small village of Riofreddo the extremely interesting museum "C'era una volta" is dedicated to rural history. The hamlet of Piano hosts the "Centro Espositivo", devoted to local art and natural heritage, and old crafts.
Located 5 kilometres from Murialdo, Lake Osiglia offers water sport lovers amusing opportunities to go rowing, windsurfing and angling or simply have a relaxing time in the sun.
Millesimo, one of the loveliest medieval small towns in Italy, is 12 kilometres away and is well worth a visit. Within easy driving distance of both towns, you will find a remarkable Church, the "Santuario della Madonna del Deserto", with frescos dating back to 1600s and a majestic dome.
You may also want to take a stroll along the several waymarked walking trails through the wooded area surrounding the B&B.
