The Masseria is part of a farming business of 25 hectares and, besides a large farm yard, there are centuries old pastures surrounded by woods, that you can feel free to walk in, as well as an olive grove and a vineyard. You can also find ‘Trulli’ with cone shaped roofs made of local stone that date back to the XVII century and which are unique examples of rustic architecture. Then there is the courtyard with chickens, and a little chapel where I got married. In the casa padronale (main house) I live with my family and is made entirely in stone. Some of the rooms of the casa padronale are reserved for the guests.

Ali and Pasquina, our horses, with Sisina, our donkey, take part of our family.

Guests can take advantage of the orchard and the common room with a fireplace; in the common room you can find various brochures and information to help make sure you don’t miss out on visiting the most beautiful sites of Puglia.

It is also possible to use the parking area for cars and motorcycles.

My family and I are always at your service- we are happy cheerful people. Together we organize our farm holidays so that we can convey to you our traditions in the simplest everyday gestures. We want to help make your vacation a very memorable and lovely time.

Conditions

Cancellation conditions (except for non-refundable rates)

You may cancel your booking up to 7 days before the check-in date. In the case of failure to show or late cancellation, you will be charged a penalty of 50% of the total cost of the booking

Payment terms

Balance to be paid at check-out
For non-refundable discounted rates, when the facility requires it, the guest must pay in advance as indicated to complete the booking. Payment is not refunded in the event of a cancellation.

For a booking including breakfast, breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM
Municipal tax of €1.50 per person per night is applicable up to 5 consecutive days maximum. Children aged under 15 do not pay municipal tax

Rooms are cleaned every 1 days. To allow staff to clean, we recommend leaving the room at 11:00 AM

The stay at Agriturismo Masseria Aprile was almost perfect. Beautiful property which has been in their family for generations. Within walking distance to Locorotondo for shopping and eating in the restaurants. Fantastic breakfast prepared daily by Stefania and her momma. All the first-rate details were taken care of. We are a family of four and we just spent an idyllic 4 days at the Masseria. The place is beautiful and extremely well kept. The love of the owners for their property can be seen in every nook and their hospitality is top notch. We loved our morning talks with Signora Anna and Stefania. Their homemade cakes are to die for. We stayed in the stalla which was very spacious and spotlessly clean. Special thanks goes to Matteo who was our guide up in the woods and with Sisina & Pina. We hope to see you all again very soon!

Simply superb. ALL the staff were helpful & charming. Stefania & Anna are exceptional hosts who make you feel welcome and look after you continually. Anna's breakfasts are off the scale! 3 or 4 different home made cakes, (freshly baked every morning) home made bread, home made jams & marmalade, local cheese & ham, fruit in season, (we were there in May, so strawberries, apricots & cherries) home made yoghurt, as well as cereal, tea, coffee etc Everything is either home grown or locally sourced. Stefania's attention to detail gives Masseria Aprile that extra special touch. Everything you would expect but much more..every room has its own character, antique furniture made from original doors, curtains & cushion covers from their great grandparents time, a clothes line and pegs outside the door.

This is a wonderful place to stay to explore the Valle d’Itria. The hosts are a wonderful family who couldn’t be more helpful and Anna is a wonderful cook. The location is also perfect as you get all the benefits of being on a farm but it as just a short walk into Locorotondo, which is one of the prettiest towns we have seen in Italy.

Ciao - this was the best decision to book 10 days at Masseria Aprile: beautiful and very calm location - perfectly situated between Locorotondo and Martina Franca (both very nice little cities). Evth is renovated with love, good taste and passion. The breakfast is the best I ever had ! - and the whole spirit is - thanx to "la familia Aprile" - specially Stefania and Anna - is just lovely and wonderful! after traveling puglia - was that my favourite place to be! Fantastic warm welcome and family hospitality in Italian and in English. We tasted delicious home baked focaccia, frittata and cakes every day at breakfast. Only 15 minutes to walk to the city of Locorotondo where there are plenty of nice local restaurants, a lot more genuine that Alberobello.

We stayed 4 nights in the very charming and cosy Casaro trullo. It was unexpectedly cold the days we were there so the heated floors made the room extra comfortable. The location is great for those using public transportation, about a 15-20 minute walk to town. We enjoyed visiting the horses, donkey and chickens and walking along the country roads. The best part though are our hosts. Anna with her amazing baked treats and energetic personality. Stefania, who speaks English well, picked us up at the train station and was very helpful with maps and ideas and Antonio who gave us rides to the train station. This is a wonderful place to stay with very warm, hospitable hosts and a delicious breakfast!

The masseria and its grounds are gorgeous, the family is as friendly as you could hope to meet, and Stephania's English is excellent if that's a concern. My apartment was roomy, spotless, and oh so comfortable with glorious views from the front and back patios, and Anna's breakfasts were spectacular. In fact, they were better than I expected. I had read about her mouth watering cakes, but didn't expect the best cappuccino I'd ever had, courtesy of Anna's hand-frothed milk. You won't believe what a difference that makes. I stayed three nights in Masseria Aprile without a car. There were the grounds and country lanes to explore and nearby (1 km) Locorotondo to visit. Plus, just relaxing on my patio with a glass of the Masseria's wine. Pick up and drop off at the train station is available, and bike rental can be arranged, so if you want to experience the Puglian countryside, but won't have a car, please do consider Masseria Aprile.

It was a lovely stay in Masseria Aprile. A few years ago we spent one night there and it was so nice we came back now for a week - this time with our two year old son. As we expected it was great for us with the child as well, there is much space and he had much fun as we had. Great welcome, great care of the structure. The breakfast, all homemade, is top-notch. Customer care 10 out of 10. The only thing is the price is a bit high, but well deserved money. Structure to recommend.

Imbarazzante. Sì, ci sentiamo imbarazzati a dare tutti "10", sembriamo troppo superficiali o privi di capacità di valutare, ma per capire che abbiamo ragione a valutare con il massimo dei voti la masseria Aprile, bisogna andarci, così da non poter far altro che confermare la nostra valutazione! Si torna bambini a sentirsi così coccolati. Eccezionale tutto. La posizione, a pochi passi da Locorotondo, così da poterne godere il panorama pur risultando immersi nella natura (un saluto alle brave galline, ai gatti ma soprattutto a Pina e Sisina). La colazione, spettacolare nella quantità, qualità e varietà, con prodotti freschissimi sfornati con amore ogni mattina. La struttura in generale, curatissima e pulita addirittura oltre il candore dell'abbagliante bianco dei trulli (il nostro era il trullo fienile). Ma tutto questo è sicuramente merito delle persone che portano avanti orgogliosamente il proprio lavoro, una vera famiglia che ti rende partecipe e parte integrante di loro. We seek high&low for the! ultimate properties wherever we travel in the world, look no further than masseria aprile, it is in a most lovely position from Locorotondo; with views up to the town from the breakfast room which are breathtaking, a gently rewarding walk or bike to Locorotondo proper, proximity to all of Puglia's wonders; from west to Matera, south to Otranto, next door to ostuni/Martina Franca/Alberobello etc and at a mere easy one hour drive to bari via the autostrada easily accessible by plane.. and more importantly the family, my golly, precious, vivacious, patient, kind, knowledgeable, the list goes on the property, immaculate, in every sense, from the breakfast space to the grounds to the accommodations, perfection, this is a well oiled family made machine and breakfast, full of homemade goodness in the service, food; Anna is an out of this world baker chef, and Stefania is so diligent, attentive candid, enjoyed all while looking out full windows into their endless land of vineyards/olives, nuts, fruit trees, simply divine, the list goes on truly. You will not be disappointed take it from us and our hours of seeking the net for the! property to hunker in to whilst in Puglia; this is it.

Masseria curatissima, ma genuina. Situata nella bellissima campagna della Valle d'Itria ai piedi di Locorotondo. Volevo una vera masseria non trasformata in un resort e la Masseria Aprile rappresenta questo. Le stanze- appartamenti grandi e molto curate nei dettagli. Le stanze erano a piano terra ed essendo la masseria circondata da ettari di meravigliosi ulivi abbiamo goduto di un silenzio meraviglioso tanto che ci è molto dispiaciuto soggiornare una sola notte. La sera abbiamo fatto, mia cugina ed io, un bagno meraviglioso nella vasca idromassaggio all'aperto. Alle otto di sera era caldo, da un lato in mezzo agli alberi c'era la luna e dall'altro la vista-cartolina di Locorotondo illuminato. La signora Anna ci ha consigliato un ottimo ristorante a Locorotondo che si raggiunge in pochi minuti. Desidero anche sottolineare la bontà della prima colazione con prodotti tipici e servita in una bella terrazza coperta con vista sulla campagna e Locorotondo. Del nostro viaggio di 10 giorni è stato il posto più bello tra quelli dove abbiamo soggiornato.

Fantastisch mooie trullo. Alles was perfect schoon. De eigenaren waren bijzonder hartelijk. Een heel goed ontbijt met vers brood en zoals het in Italië hoort met zelfgemaakte taarten. Echt een top verblijf!

Farmhouse run by a friendly family. Mrs. Ana is a lovely person who spoils her guests with many delights at breakfast. Her daughter Stefania is very nice, welcoming guests upon arrival. Ample internal parking and charming and comfortable "trulli". Produces wines and oils that are sold on site. The best part of all is the welcome that the Aprile family provides to their guests.

Welcome to my house, my name is Anna Maria Aprile, and I am the owner of the Agriturismo Masseria (Farmhouse) Aprile, which is located in the lovely Itria Valley at the foot of the hill town Locorotondo. From this very special setting, you can get an enchanting view of the town. I have inherited the ancient Masseria Aprile from my father; in fact, it has belonged to my family since 1700, the year it was founded. Together with my husband and my children, Valerio and Stefania, we completely restored the Farmhouse in 1992. We have done so respecting our local traditions according to the skills of the local artisans; and thanks to the so-called ‘Trullari’ - specialized workers in the restoration of Trulli- we have preserved the cosiness of the structure and its natural characteristics. We wanted to preserve the culture connected to the Farm and the magic that comes from breathing in the air all around it. The Masseria is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the peaceful valley famous for its skilfully cultivated vineyards which in fact produce a very well know white wine: the Locorotondo Doc. Masseria Aprile is one of the most prestigious farms in the Locorotondo area. It is far from traffic and noise and the chaos of city life, and is the ideal place to spend a vacation in complete peace. Our guests are surrounded by the fresh smells of country life and wonderful natural beauty. The Masseria is rich in history because everything has been preserved by the natural charm of time.

Locorotondo
The historical city centre of Locorotondo, that dominates the Itria Valley, has been recently awarded and claimed ‘one of the most beautiful town in Italy' thanks to its houses with the typical vaults called "cummerse". The historical centre is made of little concentric streets and alleys paved with clear "chianche"stones.
Around Locorotondo there are many "contrade", and small or medium structures of Trulli each of them with their own story.

The Cantina Sociale famous for the production of the wine: Bianco Locorotondo Doc is exported all over the world.
