Hidden among the sweet hills of Centola, the B&B Il Castello di San Sergio presents itself as a welcoming historic residence, immersed in the heart of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park. This historic structure, dating back to the 1500s and recently restored, offers a perfect balance between ancient charm and modern comforts, creating an ideal refuge for those seeking tranquility and beauty.

It enjoys a strategic location, just a few kilometers from the beautiful coasts of Palinuro and Marina di Camerota, allowing exploration of the suggestive inland villages, such as San Severino and Morigerati. Guests can take advantage of the nature trails that cross the park, enchantingly close, with one of them just 500 meters from the property.

Each room is equipped with an independent entrance, a private bathroom, and carefully curated furnishings, reflecting the elegance of the castle. To ensure maximum comfort, the B&B offers a rich dining service, with a varied breakfast that enhances the local typical products. During the colder months, guests can enjoy breakfast next to the ancient fireplace in the living room, while in summer one might prefer the enchanting garden, shaded by the cover of a flowering pergola.

Another strong point of the Castello di San Sergio is its wonderful Roof&Terrace, which opens in June. Here, guests can indulge in aperitifs and "apericena", sipping cocktails or selected local wines while admiring the sea view and being enchanted by the sunsets that color the sky.

The management of the B&B is familial and warm, with Vincenzo at the helm, assisted by his mother Silvia, a passionate restorer. Maria, his sister, and Emanuela, his wife, contribute with their dedication and sweetness, creating a welcoming and homely environment. The grandmother, at 94 years old, enriches the atmosphere with stories and memories of the Castle and local tradition, representing a deep connection with the history of this residence.

Vincenzo's love for the territory translates into a lively proposal of excursions, advice on local restaurants, and suggestions to fully appreciate every corner of Cilento. Guests can benefit from free private parking, making it even more convenient to stay in such a rich place of wonders to explore.

We stayed at this enchanting place for a few days and feel like recommending it to all those who wish to spend a vacation in a special place managed by special people. \nVincenzo and the entire staff are appreciated for their courtesy, genuineness, and willingness to provide advice on activities to do or the best places to eat. \nThe only downside is that sooner or later the vacation ends: -).

We stayed at this property for a weekend in early September with 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children. It is an ancient structure, obviously subjected to interventions over time, on a promontory from which you can enjoy a unique view of Cape Palinuro, where you can breathe medieval air. The structure, although showing the signs of the centuries, is clean, well-maintained, and quiet, completely immersed in nature. From the place, you can easily reach Palinuro and the main places of interest. The management is mainly family-run and the host is always available for advice and information about the area, never intrusive. Full and plentiful breakfast. Cozy rooms in line with the historical appeal, just as expected. I will be back! Highly recommended.

Very charming property, located in a quiet and panoramic position. Being quite high above the coast, you can enjoy a spectacular view from the room (we had chosen a room with a sea view) and from the beautiful garden, where a plentiful and quality breakfast is served in the morning. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly, very focused on guest care, he gave us many excellent tips on what to do and how to make the most of our days available. Excellent value for money. We had a great time.

From the Castle of San Sergio you can enjoy an unforgettable panorama. Beautiful renovation that has not altered the ancient building. Large and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Precious are the advice and indications of the owner Vincenzo, very present and attentive to the guests' needs.

Excellent structure to stay in, not every day you get to sleep in a fabulous castle, well-kept in detail. We must thank Vincenzo and Mrs. Silvia for the warm welcome. Very kind staff, highly recommended place, not to be missed if you are in Cilento. Rich, varied breakfast, and abandoned served in a garden overlooking the sea, a perfect way to start the day. Fantastic location. Everything is well taken care of in detail, super breakfast with homemade cakes by Mrs. Silvia, served in the garden under a pergola. There is no better way to start the day. Beautiful view of the Gulf of Palinuro. We appreciated the friendliness and availability of Vincenzo attentive to all our needs. The beautiful sea of Cilento is reachable in a few minutes by car. Recommended to everyone. Thank you for the pleasant stay.

Simply stunning. In an incomparable position dominating from above Cape Palinuro, the village and the adjacent coastline. Very affable and very friendly managers always ready to provide a suggestion or a reservation at a beach or a restaurant to make the stay more enjoyable and varied. A breakfast with few rivals: plenty of fresh fruit, homemade jams and sweets! If you add that breakfast is served under a beautiful pergola with a view of Cape Palinuro, the score can only be a full 10.

During the Easter holidays, I stayed with 9 friends at this enchanting structure beautifully restored with breathtaking views of the Palinuro promontory. Excellent and abundant breakfast (how can we forget the pastiera), comfortable and well-furnished rooms, Silvia's welcoming, always attentive to meeting all our needs. I do not believe there are sufficiently appropriate words to describe this sublime reality. Enchanting and tranquil is the place, absolutely fantastic is the view. We truly savored the feeling of being in another reality. Impeccable cleanliness, fascinating and romantic dépendance. Immense wonder upon arrival observing every little and tiny corner of this prestigious residence. What can I say about the lady queen of the house: humble, very kind, a woman with a capital "D" like few are found, charming, full of charm and culture who welcomed us into her empire making us feel at home. Delightfully treating our palates with her excellent and tasty jams and then that New Year's cake, delicate, mmmhhh if I close my eyes I can almost taste it again. She has entered my heart, her sweet and sincere eyes, her calm and serene way of speaking, I must say I would have liked to stay a few more days. The sweet and juicy mandarins she kindly gave me accompanied me for a few more days. And I will return to her soon. Genuineness and authenticity of the place and the people, never change, see you soon.

Il Castello di San Sergio will remain in our memories for the beauty of the place and the structure. Position with a breathtaking view (both day and night) of Palinuro. The places are unforgettable thanks to a lush nature overlooking a crystal-clear sea. The owners and the staff were exquisitely courteous, available, and professional. The room is comfortable, finely furnished, and perfectly tidy (with daily cleaning). Highly recommended.
