The B&B "La Terra di Archimede " is located in the heart of Syracuse, surrounded by the glorious history of the city, which besides being the protagonist of historical events related to the empire greek, gave birth to the great inventor Archimedes, as evidenced by our own the name.

Set in a lovely flowered courtyard surrounded by an ancient palace.

The central location is excellent ellows you easily reach on foot the main historical sites and entertainment venues of particular interest: The Archaeological Park with the Greek theatre - Ear of Dionysius, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Tears, The Museum Paolo Orsi, the Catacombs of St. John and all the wonders that make this city unique.

It is also sufficient for a walk 5 min to reach the beautiful Ortigia (once a stronghold of the tyrant Dionysius of Syracuse, now a melting pot of history and beauty, blend of styles and cultures that succeeded one another over the centuries and jewel of the Mediterranean).

The train station or bus station are in ' close proximity. The B&B offers accommodation in bedrooms furnished with attention to detail. The rooms are silent, very confortable, equipped with air conditioning, wireless internet connection, LCD TV, heating and en-suite bathroom with hairdryer and shower., and all of the privacy and relaxation you could wish for. The 'Terra di Archimedè B&B offers to its guests a hearty breakfast with local food and homemade cakes and jams. The price includes wifi connection, at guests' disposal an ample and comfortable attic., with equipped kitchen (for cooking, ideal for families), coffee machine with pods, corner sofa with TV, internet, and computer station. Patio. Possibility of adding a third bed for the price of 10 €, children under 8 years old do not pay, the cradle. In the cout yard you can park your bike, or biciclette. It's ' easy to find parking for the car in front of the B&B or in the same street. For those who book for a long time will be charged a special rate.

It's a bit old-fashioned. Clean but with many small steps. The breakfast is all in plastic. The woman who runs it is friendly.

Great place in Syracuse! Theresa welcomed us very warmly. House very well located, very close to Ortigia, very pleasant and quiet. It's a bit like being at home! The room was large, clean linen and perfect cleaning. Air conditioning. And very good breakfast! Great stay at Theresa's.

L'accueil a été très cordial, et les conversations avec Teresa très chaleureuses. Je garde un vif souvenir de mon séjour. Le B&B est situé à un endroit assez pratique, et calme, entre la ville ancienne et les quartiers plus récents, pas loin du bus grandes lignes. La chambre est agréable et nous avons apprécié la salle d'eau séparée et individuelle. Les petit-déjeuners sont au top avec un grand choix de viennoiseries et boissons ! Je recommande fortement ce B&B plein de charme et de belle qualité où on se sent chez soi ! Un pied-à-terre idéal pour visiter cette magnifique et touchante ville de Syracuse !

Betreiberin sehr freundlich, versorgt mit Tipps für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt im Ort jederzeit. Zimmer recht gross, Bad mit Badewanne. Leider kein Fenster im Zimmer, dafür aber sehr ruhig.

I materassi e la biancheria necessitano di essere cambiati. L'odore della stanza non trasmetteva una sensazione di fresca pulizia. Anche gli asciugamani del bagno dovrebbero essere cambiati.

It seems easy, but it's not... to feel at home, in a protected and comfortable environment, that smells clean and fresh, where everything is in the right place, where you would want it and keep it, where even the neighborhood, in the chatter and in the daily routine, is pleasant; and what about Teresa? Kind, friendly, helpful, attentive, caring, not at all intrusive and much more, thank you Teresa for everything! P.S. the house is 5 minutes walk from Ortigia, in a quiet neighborhood away from the chaos, perfect location, I recommend it to everyone!

Well-furnished and clean rooms but: one is located on the ground floor without an external opening, one on the 1st floor ok... the other with an external bathroom located on the 2nd floor where there is a very cozy breakfast room. Unfortunately, the staircase is steep and for those with difficulty walking it is tiring. For short stays it is fine.

Very nice apartment, located 15 minutes walk from many attractions to see in the city and in a quiet neighborhood. For breakfast, you can find everything. The lady who welcomed us is very nice and helpful.

Stay of 3 days and 2 nights in a quadruple room in July 2023. The structure is very nice, the location is great, the cleanliness is sufficient, everything works well. Abundant breakfast and the kitchen is available all day and night. The owner, Mrs. Angela, is always kind, professional, and helpful. We will return and, of course, recommended.

Excellent and friendly welcome from the owner. Clean room but located on the ground floor without windows, only a skylight on the ceiling. Furniture a bit outdated but everything tidy. The worst part was the breakfast, which I would define as embarrassing: three/four cookies in a jar, packaged croissants, and some leftover cereals. We preferred to go out and have breakfast in a bar. It would be better to offer a discount and skip the breakfast.

Buongiorno, nel ringraziare per la recensione, devo, sopratutto per rispetto agli altri ospiti, rettificare la descrizione della colazione da Lei fatta. Non é vero che c'erano avanzi di kornflakes o qualche biscotto. La colazione comprende: PANBAULETTO di vari tipi da potere tostare al momento, Fette Biscottate della Mulino Bianco, Marmellatine di vari gusti, Miele, Biscotti freschi del panificio, biscotti Pan di Stelle, biscotti Le Gocciole, Musli alla frutta, Kornflakes, Bioscine , Cornetti e Crostatine imbustate, delle Mele come frutta. In frigo si trovano Youghurt e burrini, succo di arancia, latte, acqua. Le bevande : caffè, tè, orzo, cacao. Inoltre , al loro arrivo ,gli ospiti vengono omaggiati con una bottiglia di acqua grande da portare in camera. Le bevande come anche l'uso della cucina nella sala colazione , sono disponibili durante tutto il giorno gratuitamente. Lei ha pagato il suo soggiorno x 2 persone usufruendo di una camera grande attrezzata di tutti i comfort: tv , climatizzatore, bagno in camera a soli 50 euro,. Tutti gli altri albergatori x molto meno le avrebbero fatto pagare di più. Io penso che Lei aveva solo voglia di andare a fare la colazione al bar .

One inconvenience of the structure is having the bathroom upstairs compared to the bedroom. The furniture should be updated and a bit more attention should be paid to dust. Otherwise everything ok.

La struttura molto ben posizionata rispetto al centro storico di Siracusa, le camere sono comode e la colazione abbastanza buona, ma la cosa che rende la struttura ancora piú accogliente è la signora Teresa, ti spiega tutto, dove andare, cosa fare ed è sempre disponibile in caso di aiuto, la signora parla anche tedesco e inglese, quindi ottimo anche per gli stranieri che vogliono visitare le bellezze di questa terra!

Proprietari gentilissimi e molto disponibili. Edificio molto carino tipico dei centri storici siciliani. Stanza raccolta e accogliente. Zona soggiorno molto carina, ben ammobiliata, provvista di beni di prima necessità e di un piccolo terrazzo con vista sui tetti. Comodissimo per chi come me cercava un posto da dove raggiungere il Santuario e il centro facilmente a piedi.

Ottima posizione, soprattutto per chi arriva dalla stazione. Le stanze sono belle e accoglienti, anche se il riscaldamento non è molto alto. La proprietaria molto disponibile nel dare informazioni sulla città. Positivo il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Se soggiornate a Siracusa struttura assolutamente da consigliare per rapporto qualità-prezzo, oltre che per la comodità della posizione, vicino a Ortigia e con parcheggio facile. Gli interni sono nuovi e di qualità, la pulizia eccellente e a disposizione degli ospiti c'è h24 una sala con computer free e cucina fornita. Colazione soddisfacente (le brioche fresche sono eccezionali) ma mancano prodotti tipici siciliani, solo confezionati industriali presenti.
