We arrived very late to the Pergusa area after a long travel day, it was pitch black, we had limited Italian and we were lost and needless to say - frazzled, our Host came to our rescue in a big jeep and gave us a personal escort up to the Baglio, hurrah! After a midnight swim amongst the olive groves to the sound of cicadas and scent of rosemary, all was well with the world. To sleep in a peaceful, ancient room and wake to the amazing view of rolling hills and cowbells jingling was pure bliss. Mille gracie for saving us!

The site is spectacular. The room 'with alcove' is actually a large suite that is really worth the price. Don't hesitate to have dinner there, a good homely meal, and you may have to travel a bit to find a restaurant in the area. The staff was very nice to us. The only problem is the difficulty in finding the location, especially the entrance on the main road at Km 7.

We recently stayed, for us it was a small break in the holiday, we had a great time, we stayed in the small but comfortable chalet facing the pool, ideal for a family, great for children who are facing the pool and are easily monitored but magical in the evening where you find yourself immersed in the stars and in the Sicilian olive country and where silence reigns. Kind and courteous, not intrusive. Breakfast in the standard: sweet, savory, and with local fruit. If we were to come back to Enna, I would definitely rebook.

The structure, set in a very beautiful landscape, has been completely renovated while maintaining its historical characteristics. The furnishings are of peasant tradition, simple, linear, but very beautiful and cared for. We stayed in the most particular rooms of the structure, the alcoves, which were carved from the former cells of the monks (the structure was also a convent in the 1600s). These are frescoed rooms (the frescoes are from the 1800s) where the bed is set in a niche (alcove). The atmosphere is very evocative and even the small details are very well cared for (from fresh wildflowers to new and abundant linen, comfortable beds). We also dined at the agriturismo, eating very well (some dishes in particular were delicious). The managers are welcoming, friendly, and reserved at the same time. During the beautiful season, you can also take advantage of the outdoor swimming pool. We had a wonderful time.
