Where:
The Podere Porcino is a farmhouse surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and woods overlooking the rolling hills leading to the village of Civitella d'Agliano, in the province of Viterbo, situated between Orvieto and Lake Bolsena where the regions of Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio converge.

The Owners:
The owners are Maria Malleier, from Alto Adige, movement therapist and teacher of psychomotion, and Gianni Abbate, Neapolitan, author, actor and director.

Accomodation:
There are two separate apartments each consisting of 2 rooms, an open kitchen corner and a bathroom. Each apartment is suitable for a maximum of 4 people.

Plus there is a loft of 60 m² with a cooking island and a bathroom.

There is also a hall of 50 m² where groups may sleep, up to 12 people.

The surroundings:
Within 50 kilometres from the Podere Porcino the visitor will find natural protected wildlife parks, artistic sites, archaelogical sites, medieval cities, thermal springs as well as the shores of Lake Bolsena for swimming or boating.

Rome can be reached in less than an hour by train. The famed Maremma region of Tuscany and the Tyrrhenian Sea are within a little over an hour's drive.

Bicycles can be rented.

We are surrounded by wine producers where excellent wines can be tasted with unerring d. o. c. guarantee.

A quite unusual feature!

There is a small theatre of about 90 square metres where we have an ongoing program of artistic events as well as courses, seminars, workshops and musical soirèes. The theatre is available for rental.

Optionals:
Massages, physical training, movement therapy with the Dore Jacobs method, psychomotion for children, drama courses, diction and reading courses, cooking and ceramic courses.

Upon request, our special Tyrol-Neapolitan cooking can be tasted.

Cancellation conditions (except for non-refundable rates)

You may cancel your booking up to 15 days before the check-in date. In the case of failure to show or late cancellation, you will be charged a penalty of 30% of the total cost of the booking

For non-refundable discounted rates, when the facility requires it, the guest must pay in advance as indicated to complete the booking. Payment is not refunded in the event of a cancellation.

An absolutely wonderful place to go back to after tiring days sightseeing and exploring. Situated on the top of a hill with cooling breezes and plenty of shade it's an ideal spot to stay in during the hot summer months. The owners are also extremely friendly and experts on the area. Breakfasts were homemade and delicious.

Podere Porcino is a lovely property overlooking the valley with a lot of "Tuscan" charme. The apartment I stayed in had everything one would need also for an extended stay. There is a lovely sitting/dining area just outside my apartment. The hosts were very welcoming and made my stay special. The location is great when you are looking for a retreat in the country. It certainly was a reprieve from the hustle and bustle in Rome and Sienna. I would go back there any time.

Der Podere Pocino liegt wunderschön in einer herrlichen Landschaft, ganz ruhig und idyllisch und trotzdem für Durchreisende wie uns in 15-20 Minuten von der Autobahn super erreichbar. Man kann in der Umgebung tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten (Orvieto, Lago di Bolsena usw.) besichtigen, leider hatten wir nicht genug Zeit, sodass wir nochmal für einen längeren Urlaub o. Ä. wieder kommen müssen. Maria, unsere Gastgeberin, ist eine sehr aufmerksame, freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin gewesen, die ein wunderbares Frühstück gezaubert hat. Das Zimmer war schön, ruhig und sehr sauber, wir haben super geschlafen dort. Unsere Tochter war besonders verliebt in den Hund Tocchio und drei Katzen, mein Mann und ich fanden die von Maria empfohlene Trattoria toll. Vielen herzlichen Dank, Maria, für die schöne, entspannte Zeit, die wir drei bei euch haben durften.

A spectacular place, a very welcoming farmhouse just like its owners, Gianni and Maria, with the friendly Tokyo and the two cats. A perfect place to rest, regenerate, and take beautiful excursions in the surroundings. We will definitely come back.

Non si può non respirare un'aria nuova, diversa al Podere Porcino. Una fuga dalla città per un luogo dove accoglienza, cura e semplicità ti riportano all'essenziale. La panchina fronte valle ricorda lo sguardo verso l'infinito di Leopardi. E allora, anche poesia. Grazie Maria, Gianni e Tommaso. Chissà che la vita non ci faccia incontrare ancora.
